IndiaThe location is as close to halong Beachfront as you can get but there is continuous construction happening on the front, so the property might lose sea view in a couple of years... But as a property for a comfortable stay, it was nice and lavish.
The hotel room is very furnished and maintained. Even though I booked at extremely short notice, the staff was available for help regarding stay as well as onward travel tips.

NetherlandsIn the room there was an odd placement of power outlets, behind the beds in strange positions, not ideal for usage. None at the desk, which would be logical to me. Although not a must, as we arrived before check in and departed after check out we wanted to store our luggage, we could drop them in the hotel lobby but at times even the reception was unmanned and therefor the luggage left alone, a luggage room would have been greatly appreciated.
Friendly staff, limited english speaking capacity, but the female receptionist was really friendly and very willing to help out, be it with local knowledge, helping out and provided service. Good confortable beds. Nice laundry service.

The hotel is new, the owner; Kate is very friendly and genuinely helpful. She guided us on the places lf attractions, and she helped us organized a one day cruise tour, picked up and dropped off at the hotel. Location of the hotel is walking distance to the beach and the other attractions such as the seafood restaurants, the Cruise Port, convenient store, cafes and restaurants. A nice cozy hotel, and most importantly the room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was hot, and air-conditioning was good too. We’ll definitely be back again of we ever visit Ha Long Bay.

United KingdomOnly issue we had was the power was out on our first day for a few hours during check in until about 8pm.
This hotel was gorgeous, and clean and comfortable. It is relatively new and the area around it is new and a nice wander about. The bed was comfortable, we had Netflix and YouTube on the TV, and the bathroom was really nice. Staff were lovely and helpful when needed. The area itself may seem quite quiet but there is a shop really close by and it’s only a 10/15 min walk to beach, and a 5/10 min walk to busy area with restaurants and bars.

The hotel is new and it's located 3 blocks from the beach and about 2 miles from the Downtown. I stayed in the 4th floor, so I could see the Islands from my room. The room and the bathroom are very spacious. It has a kettle, refrigerator, water and tea or coffee every morning. They also have plenty of closet space and the bed is super comfortable. The room was cleaned and the bed made everyday. The administrator is the key component on this place. Kate will do whatever is needed to make your stay pleasant. Because of the holiday mostly everything was closed, so she got me food at the local markets, booked all the transportation and tours that I requested and even drove with me to the pier or park. She is very caring and a hard worker. I do recommend this place.

VietnamMilash Boutique Hotel is very close to SunWorld Ha Long, within walking distance to the amusement park and food court. The hotel is clean, the equipment in the room is high-class and new. The receptionist was really enthusiastic, giving detailed instructions on finding best local restaurants with very good prices. Hotel is on the quite road, so you can have very peaceful time during your trip. In addition, if you need to travel far, you can rent a motorbike at the hotel to get around. Very impressed with the room quality and service.

Staff was friendly and helpful. They booked inexpensive taxis for me to get to my meeting and dinner later that evening. Room was clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

United KingdomComplained about the noise and asked to be moved to another room. The noise was insanely loud. Staff were unwilling to help. The owner then cancelled the room to prevent us leaving a bad review. Told us we wanted to sleep we should have stayed in a resort. This would have been great to know before hand. Nothing stated it was a noisy area. I told him he needed to u cancel it before we would pay. He told us we were the worst tourists he'd ever had and to get out the hotel and we could deal with the local police. Had no issue paying just wanted the room uncancelling. Didn't appreciate the rude aggressive replies. Worst hotel experience in 11 months backpacking.
