Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThis was the best accomodation I had in Vietnam! The room is large and it has a very nice balcony, bed is comfortable and bathroom is modern ans huge The house is less than 1min walking from the beach and as a guest you can have two chairs and umbrella for free. The hosting lady is very nice and friendly, always with a big smile! She recommended a really good restaurant and arranged our transport to the airport

This was an amazing stay! From the warm welcome by lovely Hiền, to the beautifully made and decorated rooms, the wide open terrace, the beautiful plants all around the building, the delicious coffee in the morning, many tasty options for breakfast, and the kind and warm family who were always treating us with smiles and genuine offers of help wherever needed. The location is amazing, only a minute away from the beach, where the family has some chairs and are usually there to bring you food or drinks if needed. Everything was perfect! Thank you!

BruneiA couple of the photos of the beach and outside areas don't match what I saw but this is a small thing. I was completely happy with our stay.
The family running the Homestay are lovely. They are always at the end of a WhatsApp if you need anything. The bed is very comfortable and it's nice to have a wee table and chairs and a couch on the deck. The location is wonderful. It's a short stroll down an alleyway to the beach where they have beach chairs to sit on. There's no pressure to order drinks and food but it's exactly what you want to do after time in the sun. The food is good and the drinks are cold. It's a lovely place to relax. There are good wee restaurants all within a short walk of the Homestay. When we visit A Bang or Hoi An again we will definitely stay here.

United KingdomMy family and I had a lovely stay here. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with a great shower and big bathroom. We had a private terrace beside a mango tree. An Bang beach was 50m away and a taxi to Hoi An was a 15 minute drive. Breakfasts were delicious. Hiěn and her family are very friendly and kind, helping with all our requests!

NetherlandsWe had such a wonderful time at An Bang Local Beach Homestay. We originally booked for two nights, but ended up staying a whole week! The family running the homestay is incredibly kind, welcoming and always ready to help. The rooms were spacious and just a 15-second walk from the quiet, peaceful beach. The breakfast was amazing. The area around An Bang has some great food too, especially right along the coast and their own restaurant. If we ever return to Vietnam, this will definitely be the place we come back to.

AustraliaThere were no outdoor seating of tables and chairs in the garden as depicted in the photos on Bookings.com.
Our room was spacious and well equipped. The location was superb. We could walk everywhere we needed to in An Bang. The beach is a short stroll down a quiet laneway where they have sun lounges and umbrellas for your use. The staff were extremely helpful and arranged seamless transfers to and from Danang airport.

GermanyThe room is a bit humid.
Very close to the beach incl. seats, close to the big street with restaurants and bars. Only 15 min by car/bike to the old town. You can also use their bikes to drive around the rice fields. The biggest point was that the stuff was so so helpful! They were assisting with car bookings, even tickets for train, and everything was so welcoming. We loved it here.

GermanyNothing! We 100% can recommend
This was the best accommodation of our 7 week trip so far! First of all, it is a true homestay (unlike most places which are more like hotels). The rooms/bungalows are in the garden of the family‘s home. They are such nice people and really made us feel welcome! For breakfast you have a lot of options to choose from (Banh Mi, pancakes, smoothies etc.), it is served to you on your terrace and was always tasty. Our room was cleaned everyday and the laundry service was really quick and for a reasonable price. The homestay is located just a 2 minute walk down to the beach. There are chairs and umbrellas you can use and even order drinks to the beach. The area around offers a lot of restaurants and bars but has a more laid back vibe than the old town of Hoi An, which we really enjoyed (to the city center it is just a 10 minutes motorbike ride).
