The location, the vibe, the history, Steve and staff, their responsiveness, their willingness to help, small family feel, the decorations, the music, the fun, the values and philosophy. They kept the restaurant open to make sure we got dinner due to our very delayed arrival time. Thank you, Steve and Gavin, for keeping this place alive. Hope to be back.

This is one of those special destination hostels that you can tell the owners and staff have put their heart into designing an amazing experience. It’s a stunning location on a private beach, so I just relaxed there for three days, though there is a lot to explore in the area which the staff can help coordinate. The restaurant has good food and the family dinner is a special way to meet other travelers. The staff were exceptionally friendly and it’s just good vibes overall.

This is a hidden gem in the coast of Quy Nhon. If you want to relax, unwind and feel like you’re in a little paradise heaven then this is the place for you. Amazing facilites, amazing staff, super friendly and helpful! And the best part is how quickly and easy it is to make friends with and connect with the other guests especially during the “family dinners” by the beach. Truly amazing experience 10/0

Dorm bathrooms don’t include amenities such as shampoo or body wash, never seen this in a hostel. Some dog turds around the beach. Rental motorbikes don’t have phone holders.

The hotel is isolated, requiring a scooter (at high rental fee) or taxi to reach any other food or choice of scenery. This means guests are basically captive at dinner time, which is regimented as a group dinner with all guests at one long table. Alcohol is pushed on guests, beginning directly at check-in, and then throughout dinner with games, etc. Fun for some, but those who opt out face long waits and apologies for the remaining a la cart choices, which are mediocre at best. The "beach" is very tiny amid rocks, and not easily accessible.

The resort is atop of some cliffs and you can't really take a swim there as it looks rather dangerous. My understanding is that it used to be there until this year (it's either eroded or the reflux never happened :). There are public beaches 10-15 min away though.

great hotel/hostel, really depending on the budget. Quite isolated so the entire area is silent and perfect for recharging your batteries. The room that I booked was overlooking the sea and it was superb. You could sleep with the doors open and hear the waves (and even see them while laying in the bed) breaking on the cliffs and that's a very hard to match feeling. The staff is helpful and fun and the overall vibe of the place with "family dinners" and all the games happening after that are a very nice touch and rather unique. The food and the cocktails are terrific as well! Highly recommended.

After two weeks sightseeing, Life’s A Beach was just what we needed for a couple of nights to relax before continuing our travels. The whole setup is wonderful, there is an assortment of accommodation available to suit every budget so the clientele is a mixture of ages and nationalities. We had a room with a private bathroom and balcony with uninterrupted sea views. There is a lovely bar and we joined the Family Dinners each night, excellent food. Unfortunately, the weather was not good but this did not dampen our stay as the setting, owners and staff are wonderful. We were in Vietnam for a month and this was our most memorable accommodation.
