Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesBicycles have seen better days but they were free and functional and probably less likely to be stolen.
We really enjoyed the pool and the quiet serenity of the location. We had some non-hotel based issues that the manager Peanut went above and beyond to assist us with and thus had to give her a shout out via a review. She is always cheerful and positive with lots of suggestions on activities.

New ZealandLavini Boutique Villa is a gorgeous location with lovely rooms and a perfect pool - but what’s even better is the staff. Our ride to and from the airport was sorted in a flash, delicious breakfast served in time before our morning tours, and tailor/performance/sight-seeing recommendations made our stay even better than I could have ever imagined. Thanks for taking care of us. Mum and I would be excited to bring the rest of our family here the next time we visit Hoi An ❤️

PhilippinesNot really a problem but the aircon acted up on our 1st night but they instantly fixed it the next morning.
My family liked the place. Away from the noise of Hoi An. Specially the person who took good care of us. Peanut is the best host. From the moment you arrive she will take care of everthing for you. Breakfast, transfer (way cheaper than others) and almost anything you can ask for.

A quaint boutique villa located in the middle of the paddy fields. Its location is quite central, within walking distance to the Hoi An ancient city. Owner and staff are very friendly too. The breakfast is very good with many choices to choose, from Vietnamese local food to western. You can also take the bicycle to cycle along the paddy fields

United KingdomA few bugs around, but that is to be expected.
Peanut is very nice and so is the owner (I think he is the owner anyway). Peanut let us check-in around 10am as we had taken an overnight bus. The pool area is quite nice and the breakfast was good. Peanut also helped us with taxis and local knowledge. Great location, near the city but also very peaceful. The room was nice too.

AustraliaBed was on the softer side (I like firm beds).
Fabulous place, located about 20min walk into the old town (easy to catch a Grab). Bicycles provided were super useful. Loved the pool, on the smaller side but as the hotel is small we were lucky to have it to ourselves most of the time. Great breakfast. Great to run around the rice fields next to the hotel. The host Peanut was amazing! Very thoughtful in making sure we had all we need from suggestions on what to do, organising tickets to the Memories show and organising laundry. Bonus to be able to use the pool and a shower after check -out as our flight wasn’t until late.

ChileMy recent stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic and deserves a full 5-star rating. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the exceptional quality and the genuine warmth of the entire staff. One of the first things I noticed was the incredible comfort of the bedding. The sheets were exceptionally soft, ensuring a truly restful night's sleep – a detail that often goes unnoticed but made a significant difference. The à la carte breakfast was another highlight. The selection was incredibly comprehensive, with fresh and delicious options to suit every taste. It was a wonderful way to start each day. The hotel's pool was also a standout feature. It was truly spectacular, offering a relaxing and beautiful space to unwind after a day of exploring. However, what truly set this hotel apart was the remarkable hospitality of the staff. Everyone I encountered, from the owners, Miu and Thong, to the staff members like Peanut, were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their genuine care and attentiveness made me feel like a valued guest and created a truly memorable experience. The level of service provided by the owners and the entire team is truly commendable. They go above and beyond to ensure every guest has a perfect stay. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. The combination of luxurious comfort, excellent amenities, and, most importantly, the exceptional and heartfelt service from the staff, including Peanut, Miu, and Thong, makes it a truly outstanding choice. I look forward to returning in the future! -scooter rental: $6 usd day -free bikes. -$12 usd airport car. -price low for the high service. Thank you, thank yo!!!

AustriaWe arrived in the morning and we where so happy, that Peanut, the angel of this place, arranged everything, that we could check in much earlier 🤗. Everybody here where so friendly and supported us, independ of the needs, if motorbike, restaurants, massage, cooking class, Taxi to Hue and back after some days (cheap and safety), what ever we asked and needs, we got always a very good recommendation. We want to highlight Peanut, because she is a funny and open, trustful nice and lovely Lady and took care about us. Thank you so much😘🤗 The place here in the middle of the rice fields allowes us to join the morning with a nice walk or run through the rice fields. Between 1 and 9 km possible, independent what you like. Especially early in the morning when the sun rise it is fantastic. And the sweet smell from the rice, unbeliefable.

SpainThis villa was an absolute gem. Peanut, one of the staff working there, took care of us at all times. She was helpful, kind and helped us to arrange taxis, visit the city and gave us local recommendations. Meeting her was at the top of our visit. The villa was clean, nice food, good swimming pool to refresh from the heat. Only 15 minutes walking from the centre. I highly recommend it.
