Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWas there during the low season so it was a little quiet, but overall great experience. Vy and Te are super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Quick walk to the beach, and town is an easy ten minute ride away. 10/10 recommend.

NetherlandsThe owners over the hostel were absolutly lovely. They will help you with anything and are sure to give you a great stay. The hostel is for all ages, I seen solo travelers, couples, families and older solo travelers (60+) The location is great just a minute from the beach and a short drive to Hoi An centre. They take great care of you and for the animals that live with them!

AustraliaThis is the best hostel to stay at in South East Asia! It is run by a family who will do anything to accommodate your needs and has the best social atmosphere. The hostel is clean and has a very chill layout, creating a comfortable environment and also providing excellent family dinners and social events every other night. V and T go above and beyond to organise any tours/activities you are wanting to do. The rescue animals are also very friendly and cuddly, making it my favourite hostel to have ever stayed at.

The best hostel we stayed at in Vietnam by far!! The staff were the absolute sweetest, most helpful, and friendly people ever. They really make it feel like home for all their guests. We joined in on the family style dinner which was all you can eat and the food was so good. Great vegetarian options too. We were told upon arrival that they were fixing the roof in the private room we had booked so they upgraded us to a room a 5 min walk away and it was the best we slept all trip! The location right near the beach was ideal and downtown is just a short Grab away. The staff went through a map with us when we got there of popular spots to visit downtown and gave us tons of info that was helpful to our stay. They really care about their guests and make sure you feel welcome; they even take the time to remember everyone’s name who’s staying there. We stayed here through a recommendation from a friend and I’d recommend it again to anyone staying in Hoi An!

United StatesThis is a very special place. It's about a 10-15 min bike or car ride to Hoi An Old Town, but a 3 minute walk to the beach. Plus, the ride to the Old Town takes you past beautiful rice fields with local farmers riding their buffaloes, so you get a view of local life. The beachy, tropical feel of the environment is what makes staying a little further from town so worth it. Plus, the hosts/owners, especially Vy, are incredibly welcoming and helpful. They are wonderful people who will do anything to make your stay more comfortable. My first night there, Vy sat down with me, drew on a custom map of Hoi An to show me where everything is and all her recommendations, personally walked me to my room and showed me how the AC/lights/water heater work, then had me meet her back at the lobby a few minutes later so I could get on the back of her bike and she could drive us down the road to the beach restaurant and I could get some dinner. I felt so safe and comfortable. The showers are in a mostly covered, but not fully enclosed space attached to your fully enclosed bedroom (at least that was the case for me, I stayed in a private room). So, I did encounter mosquitos in the shower area but it wasn't too bad at all. Just felt like a rustic, tropical experience with a big bedroom, high ceilings, comfy bed to sleep in. Free breakfast in the lobby area is a great way to meet people - my first morning here I instantly made a friend I spent the rest of the weekend with. Plus there are doggies and kittens everywhere, as the hosts also run an animal rescue. Animal lovers paradise. Highly recommend staying here.

Social but chill, lots of areas to both socialise or just be antisocial curl up with your book. Right near the beaaaachhhh and out of all the hussle and bussle of the city but close enough that it’s easily accessible. The owners are sooo kind and accommodating and are happy to help with any questions info bookings.

United StatesThis hostel is truly special. The owners care deeply about every guest, and make sure your experience is perfect. There’s a very laid back but social atmosphere, allowing you to socialize whenever you want, or just lay back in a hammock and chill. Great food, free shuttles to town twice a day, lots of cute animals. My favorite hostel on my trip.

GermanyThis is a lovely home stay style hostel. Vy tries everything to make it a memorable stay. It feels like home as you can get drinks and very good food all day. The activities get everyone together, which is especially good for solo travelers. Notes: Maybe go like 2-3 nights. There are dogs and cats around, so it might not be for you if you are allergic.

GermanyUnfortunately they moved me to another room though I booked the 10 bed dorm to not move other people who wanted to extend there stay. So I ended up sleeping in a room with other very loud snoring guys so that I couldn't sleep at all that night. I don't understand why it's a thing in Vietnam that they would move you so often to other rooms though you booked something else..the other day I would move luckily to my actual booked room.so all in all would be just great if the organisation would keep the actual booked rooms so that no chaos and constant moving would occur. For the price not the best included "free" Breakfast( not much provided ( not really any other choice except pancakes)) but still alright. They got cute animals but the enormous cat house stinks incredible much if they don't clean it properly so the smell would be literally 1 m away from where you eat.
I loved that it's very near to the beach and not in the super touristy spots. So it's quite chill and more quiet than other areas. very cozy/ beach vibe, natural hostel, good to meet people. The ordered food for lunch/dinner was very great, just the prices a bit high. I liked a lot that guest can use the sunbeds they provide in their beach restaurant so it's very chill and perfect for sunny days at the beach ! Stuff is very friendly. Cute decorations, cute vibe, lots of plants.
