Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing! Everything was great 😃
The room is big and has everything you need. The aircon works perfectly and it has a nice window or balcony. Nice walking distance from the old quarter and has restaurants and supermarkets around. Hoi was such a nice host! he let us use the bikes for free to go to the beach and help us with everything we needed. He even let us use the kitchen for making some breakfast and gave us some useful things as oil and salt. Hoi was really kind and talking to him was the best way to get to know the history of the city and country. We had the best time staying with him!!

Really liked the homestay! It’s located in a quiet area but still very close to the old town which is perfect. The room was big and had everything I needed. The owner of the homestay is so friendly and helpful!

Amazing stay. We arrived very early, but the new host was super amazing. We could check in very early. Nothing of the old reviews make any sense. The new owner is super friendly and relaxing. He is doing everything himself to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Free bikes to use. The beach is 10 minutes biking. The center 5 minutes. Private room was big and clean, nice view. Clean and comfy beds. The inside of the house is spacious and clean. Laundry and smoothies across the street, restaurants around the corner. Had an amazing stay!

It should be noted that the large window in the room looks out on to the stairwell. There is a smaller window up high that can be opened for fresh air and natural light. A lamp in the room would be nice.
Well managed, calm house. The owner is very relaxed and hospitable. The room is very clean and the wood panelling on the walls gives it a cosy lodge feeling. Aircon, wifi, hot water all good. The location is great because you really don't want to be in the Ancient Town where it's overcrowded. This area is more local and you can walk to the old town in 15 minutes, but also to the rice fields in the opposite direction.

The room was very clean and the bed was good. We also appreciated the help with booking a taxi. And the free bicycles. The owner was very kind and communication in English was sufficient. We recommend also if you prefer a quiet location. At night the street is very quiet. And in the morning we enjoyed the coffee and other superb drinks across the street. Restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk away. A local market is also very close.

The only thing missing was a kettle and a bin for the room.
Hoi is a very good man who even gave me a better raincoat for free when I left as my raincoat was not good. The room was large, clean and comfortable and the bathroom is huge. The aircon works well and there is a large wardrobe and a small desk with chair. The bed was very comfortable.

Location, location, location! Being so close to the ancient town allowed us the freedom to explore at our own pace, easily returning to the homestay whenever we wanted. The host's warmth and helpfulness were second to none. His proficiency in English was a huge plus, making our stay even more enjoyable. The availability of bicycles at the hostel was a game-changer, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city and its surroundings.

There was nothing about the homestay that I didn't like. I'd highly recommend staying here.
Flower runs this place well and is very accommodating and knowledgeable about the Hoi An area. The homestay is close to the old quarter of Hoi An and whenever I needed information on getting around or help with coordinating my trip, i found Flowers assistance beneficial. The room was comfy, and the bathroom and the room were large and clean, I'm glad I decided to stay here.
