Nothing to complain

The location of the hotel was amazingly well located in the middle of Hanoi Old Town. Very comfortable rooms and toilet. And the receptionist Tony was super helpful and friendly with us, he helped us a lot arranging tours and transportation. He really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Will come back again

A small drawback was the breakfast – not so much the limited selection, but the fact that when something ran out (like coffee, certain dishes, or even plates), the staff did not replenish it.

The hotel was very pleasant, with a great location and a spacious room. However, what truly made our stay exceptional was Alicia, who works there. She was incredibly helpful not only with the accommodation itself but also in organizing our trip to Ha Long Bay. She kept us updated about any changes in plans and handled everything quickly and efficiently — when one cruise was canceled, she immediately arranged another one for us. We felt very well taken care of and can wholeheartedly recommend not only the hotel stay but also the support in organizing other activities.

There was not much that I didn't like.

The hotel is in an excellent location easily reachable from most attractions. The hotel is very clean and rooms are descent size. They have an excellent choices for breakfast. All the staff are very attentive, kind and helpful at all times. One member of staff I would say who stood out was Tony. He always went out of his way to make sure all out queries were answered to out full satisfaction. He was also most helpful even during his time-off. Tony also booked couple of trips for us - Halong Bay and Sapa. We had the best time ever. I will not hesitate to say that Tony is a real asset to this hotel. This hotel also has Spa facilities at a discount to staying in this hotel.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, so attentive while continuing to go a side and beyond. They also helped arrange our tour to Ha Long Bay which was spectacular!! The room was lovely (executive double), daily turn down, great air con, nice bathroom, comfy bed. Breakfast is on the lovely 8th floor, and a delicious spread. The location was perfect to walk everywhere in the Old Quarter and to some museums. So many top local eats and plenty of shopping nearby.

The excellent location and the room. It was excellent value. Having travelled around a lot we spent two nights here and were planning to do a cruise on Lan Ha bay followed by a stay on Cat Ba island. My, who works here on the front desk team, .was absolutely brilliant booking us transport to get to the cruise, a good price for the cruise, a special transfer by tender off the cruise ship to Cat Ba island harbour and to be collected from our hotel on Cat Ba back to the hotel again for our last night in Hanoi. Everything worked perfectly and My stayed in touch by WhatsApp and even arranged for an earlier pick up from Cat Ba when we changed our minds and decided we wanted to have a bit more time in Hanoi on our last full day in Vietnam. Everything was effortless and food pricing too. My has booked us a taxi for the morning to get us to the airport and had spa treatments ready for my better half when. We arrived back in Hanoi. Having organised nearly everything independently on this trip it was great having someone so capable making all those arrangements - thanks My! The rest of the staff here are very friendly and helpful too.

I can’t really think of anything.

The staff! Greeted us every time we came in or out. Alice organized a few great tours for us. Anything we needed, staff were there. Breakfast good. Location amazing. Enjoyed our stay immensely.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The customer service was outstanding – special thanks to Tony, who went above and beyond to help us throughout our visit. After we left Hanoi for Ha Long Bay, a storm hit and we had to evacuate. Tony stayed in touch, gave us advice on what to do, and even reserved a room for us in Hanoi in case we needed to return. That level of care was truly exceptional. The hotel also kindly paid for our taxi fare when we didn’t realise it was cash only – such a thoughtful gesture. All the staff were warm, helpful, and professional. Another highlight was the laundry service – our clothes were returned tightly and neatly packed, making it super easy to repack into our suitcases. The hotel is located right in central Hanoi, so everything is within walking distance. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommende

The staff in Serene are friendly and couldn’t be more helpful - I booked an extra night last minute and they ensured I stayed in the same room with no check out. They organised a taxi for me to the airport during the night also - thank you. Room was comfortable and clean. In a great location, close and in walking distance to many attractions and restaurants we wanted to visit (10 minutes to Train St).

The shower pressure was a little low, and there was some dust on the light above the bed.

Everything was exceptional

I’ve stayed at many hotels during my travels, but this experience stands out thanks to one person: Tony at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, Tony went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and cared for. He provided me with detailed, thoughtful information about local tourism, tailored to my interests, and answered every question with patience and clarity. His extensive knowledge, genuine kindness, and warm charm made a real difference ,especially when you’re far from home and looking for a friendly face. The hotel itself is immaculately clean, with fantastic showers and a breakfast buffet that offers a wonderful mix of continental favorites and traditional Asian dishes. But what truly made my stay memorable was Tony. His fluent English made communication effortless, and his bright smile set the tone for each day. Because of his exceptional service and professionalism, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this hotel again. Tony is a true gem and the kind of person every traveler hopes to meet.

The location is calm but a bit far from the lake and attractions in the old quarter.

The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff are so nice and friendly, especially the guy in the evening shift. I recommend this hotel.

Everything was nice as per budget

Great hotel with in old town and most nesrby attractions. Also Alice on front desh help us in everypossible way to make our stay comfortable. Must visit. Also breakfast was great and ample of options. Veg and non veg both.

The location was close to many restaurants and it had a very nice vibe . The staff ( Alice and Tony) were extremely friendly. Alice organised two of the tours for my family which were very enjoyable to Holng Bay and Ninh Binh. Both places have beautiful views. Alice was also kept checking every step of the way to see if everything was going smoothly. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality!
