Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThe owners are closing the gate before 10 PM, so you have to ring a bell to get in after 10 PM and it feels a bit annoying to wake the owners up. Charging 50000 VND for 1kg laundry without notice is an unacceptable and overpriced by more then 200%. Also some advice were misleading - e.g. don't do to the beach after 10 PM, becuase everything is closed, unless you want to have a calm bath in the sea.
Calmer location at the outskirts or Hoi An. Cozy room with good AC and Internet connectivity - 100± Mbps, so it is definitely Digital Nomad ready! You can use the kitchen to make your own meals. You can use the available bicycles to move around the city faster. Very comfortable bed. Desk ans chair suitable for remote work. Good value / price ratio.

NetherlandsInitially we had ants in our room. After contacting the staff, the cleaning lady showed up within 5 minutes. Regrettably the issue was not resolved, the dead ants were also still on our floor, but we were moved to a different room the next day. We appreciated the quick actions of the staff and the final solution. We also had a cup in the bathroom with mold inside. After we brought it downstairs, it was replaced straight away.
The staff at Green Town House was great: the owner is a lovely older woman, Jennie the receptionist is attentive, very quick to respond and proactive. The beds were also comfortable. Overall the staff is very guest-oriented: every inquiry was being handled quickly

AustraliaI had a great experience at Green Town House Homestay. The room was nice and clean, the internet was good, and it was quiet. The staff were very friendly. They also gave me a bike for free to ride around the city. I really liked it and I'd definitely recommend it.

Germanywe absolutely loved staying at green house Hoi An ~ the family who runs this homestay is very kind and the atmosphere they creat lovely. Everything is true to the pictures, it’s very clean and spacious. You can rent bicycles for free and it’s just a short ride into old town as well as to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and pretty. There’s a little shop close by and even a gym that is well equipped.

GermanyGreen Town House Hoi An is located silently outside the Old Town in nice rural surroundings. The beautiful Old Town with all the sights is easy to reach by feet. Green Town House is managed by a very friendly couple who make great efforts to care well for the guests. The room was comfortable and very clean. I liked it much to stay there.

PolandWhen we opened the fridge it smelled a little bad. There were also a few tiny ants, but they didn’t bother us. We’re still giving a 10 because we really enjoyed our stay and are only writing this to let the property know that maybe this is something they want to change
This place had a very homey feel. The contact through WhatsApp was amazing as soon as we booked. There’s a bus that can pick you up from Da Nang - which we didn’t use because we booked last minute and were already getting a grab. We were sent many recommendations for food, attractions and tailors which was lovely and helpful. The old town is a 20 minute walk, which isn’t a problem because at least the neighbourhood is nice and quiet which is a perfect after wandering the crowded, loud streets in the centre. Good restaurants nearby. You can rent bikes for free and go through the country side which is very close and go to the beach. There is an elderly lady who is always present and helpful. Always smiling and makes it feel like home, we were always happy to see her! 😊 The room was enough for two people, there were sockets on either side of the bed and the AC worked really well. You can open the windows as well to get some fresh air and it helps the bathroom dry. This was also the first place that had soap in a dispenser next to the sink to wash your hands! We will be recommending this place to family and friends that are planning to visit Hoi An. If we come back, we’re coming back here! 😊

SwitzerlandNothing in particular, the room is not big but has everything, and to those who have complained that is a bit humid I could suggest to open the window for a few minutes that fix the problem easily 😉.
Very quiet area few steps from the rice fields, feels like staying in the countryside (very little traffic, chickens everywhere) but just 20 mins easy walk to old hoi an town centre. *check pictures of the neighborhood below* Very VERY confortable bed and 4 big pillows. Clean, plenty of hot water and cheap price. I would reccomend 100%, booked for 2 days first but then extended for the whole week.

Belgium[03:29, 14/11/2024] Robin: we didn't like Hoi an that much but the Homestay made it worth staying longer. the breakfast was astonishing and the fact that we got free bikes to use was really handy. the location is perfect, just outside the busy touristy area but between the beach and the city, in a quiet street. [03:31, 14/11/2024] Robin: the room was clean and spacious and the hosts were lovely. you live in the house of two elderly people who are adorable. [03:31, 14/11/2024] Robin: price/quality the best we had in south east asia

This is hidden gem in Hoi An. You have free use of bicycle (or you can rent a bike) comunication with Jessica was easy and she helped us a lot. They can arrange car from Da Nang (cheaper than Grab) and some trips around (Bahn Hills for example, for fair price) It is a homestay with the nicest host (elderly couple) that are friendly, they gave us raincoat when we arrived and was pouring rain before our room was ready and good freshly made breakfast (even vegetarian option)

AustraliaThere wasn't anything we didn't like. It's about a 20 minute walk (only 40,000 dong by Grab) to the markets but we planned it that way and the staff offered us bikes to travel there.
How helpful and friendly the staff were, how clean the room was and the laundry service. Jennie helped us find everything we needed from organising a fair priced private car to the airport to where my friend could buy a Sim Card for his phone. We would definitely stay there again!

IndiaAir conditioning was not at its best but that's fine I guess for the amount being charged. The staff is not available at the property and so you feel bad asking / enquiring to the elderly couple. again and again. Overall no issues.
Rooms are clean and nice. Elderly family is always smiling. Location is good enough, not too far and not too close from the old town.

RussiaThe pipe was nearly blocked in the bathroom so we had a little pond beneath just after a quick shower...however, it didn't bring any inconvenience as nothing was damaged at all.
Cleanliness, location, furniture, attention. The owner wished us to be happy in the end. How cheerful he is!
