The room description said there was a balcony, which was the main reason I booked this room. No balcony, misunderstanding with Booking.com, apparently... just a note - the safe needs to be reset by the staff after the previous guest.

Excellent location close to the lake. Light, spacious, comfortable room with all the amenities. Good breakfast selection. Servicing of the room was better than I expected & the staff were all wonderful. I liked the retro, art deco style of the room. Excellent communication from Kevin from the time I booked the room, also arranged airport pickup & sorted a feel niggles in my room.

Great place to stay, clean, and great location, especially if you’re looking to shop! The staff was so kind and we were headed to Sapa really early the next morning so they prepared breakfast to go for us! So kind, and even stored our luggage for an additional day!

We have an amazing experience staying at Golden Sunshine Villa. Aside from its cleanliness, the staff is very accommodating. Hands down for being so kind! They even gave me a surprise birthday cake! I am so touched! The location is so great as it is nearby on the shopping markets, restaurants, spa and cafe shop. You will never go wrong on this hotel. Will definitely recommend this. We will be coming back next year. Thank you so much!

Most comfortable bed and pillows throughout my travels through Vietnam so far! The location was amazing, just a short walk from really nice coffee spots, bars and amazing restaurants. The staff was very nice and helpful especially Thuan, Khanh, Thao, Tien, Nhung, Oanh! Many thanks to all of you!

noise from neighbours on stairway and neighbouring rooms. This is only of course if you have disrespectful guests.

We are just about to check out after a wonderful 3 night stay. The location is perfect one block from the lake, supermarket across the road and heaps of eats within walking distance. Our room was really spacious and heaps of windows very quiet which is rare for Hanoi old quarter. Breakfast was a small buffet of fruit, toast, noodles and you could order eggs, pancakes plus other items off a menu. Staff were extremely friendly and super polite. They do offer a tour service which we didn't require. Huge thanks for a wonderful stay and the late check out. We will be back.

Spacious room at very good rate. Staff was able to speak English. Kevin, Jackson, and Lady at the desk were very helpful, friendly, and cooperative. Allowed early check in without any extra charge. Ours was late night flight, they allowed our luggage to be stored safely. They had weighing scale to weigh our luggage which was very helpful before the flight. The location is perfect. We were able to reach all major attractions by walking. Breakfast was decent as well. They adjusted the flavours as per our liking. The rooms were neat and clean.

Very supportive and friendly staff, Mr Jackson stood out with particular kindness and attention. The room is spacious and comfortable and spotless clean. WiFi worked well, breakfast was excellent. Location is good right in the old Quarter, a quick walk away from the lake which is fun to take a walk in the evening. They also have good offers on transportation and tours which can be very helpful when you just arrived. I had a late flight and could leave my luggage there until departure and even take a shower before leaving in the evening. The transport provided to the airport was cheaper than “Grab”

Large clean room, a good desk for partner to work. Kevin did a great job arranging a half day Ninh Binh river tour at short notice (instead of usual full day tour) as it was very hot and I was a bit unwell. And for a reasonable price. Nice location in old quarter, lake not far away.

Maybe the hotel can improve cleanliness and offer a bit more variety of food for breakfast.

The location was excellent, it is near everything, the room was big but very small window. I love the staff they are ver helpful and respectful. And I like much the hotel service, they allow us to check in early and make our stay comfortable.
