Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThere are a few areas for improvement: the plumbing could use an update due to a slight sewer smell, and the wet room-style shower has caused some rot. Additionally, the cleaning person hoses down the bathroom from floor to ceiling, which adds to the dampness and exacerbates the issue. The biggest downside, however, was the building's lobby below the apartment, which is used as a scooter parking area. The constant noise from scooters driving in and out, along with the petrol fumes and the gate slamming shut day and night, was quite disruptive.
I had a wonderful 2-week stay at this Hanoi apartment. Located in a nice residential neighborhood near West Lake, it’s surrounded by all the conveniences you could need. The AC and heating worked flawlessly, and there was always plenty of hot water. I especially appreciated having access to the washing machine and the mini balcony, which was the perfect spot for morning coffee. The bed was incredibly comfy, and there was ample storage for clothes, making it easy to settle in. The owner was absolutely lovely—helpful, kind, and fluent in English, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, I was very happy with my stay and would definitely book again.

United StatesNothing, it was great.
The location was great, around the corner from the lake with places to eat and linger, and yet was very quiet. Was down the alley so a little hard to find at first, but Xuan's directions were great and once I knew - it was nice to come back to.

Very affordable and great location surrounded by good eats and supermarket nearby. It is tucked away down an alley so it was super quiet, no noise from neighbours or dogs. The stairs were not an issue, just a few flights. The host was very lovely and accommodating!

Perfect place! The bed was the nicest one we slept in during 2 months of traveling through Vietnam. If you want to cook here, she has a small kitchen in the room. The location was a little bit out of the city centre but if you rent a motorbike you will be there in no time. And the location is actually really nice and quiet with good restaurants, cinema close by and you see a lot of people running around the lake. The owner was also really sweet

United KingdomNothing.
Recently moved to Hanoi and stayed here for one month. The location is great with everything you could need within walking distance. Xuan who manages the apartments is extremely helpful and you can ask her anything, she gave me tons of great information that helped me get settled in Hanoi. Rooms are in great condition and cleaned regularly. The apartment is in a quiet lane and has a locked gate so you can park your motorbike up safely.

Only a few minutes walk from cafe's and restaurants and near the lake as well. Xuan, the host is very very kind and sweet and is very helpful, I got sick and spent 3 days in bed and she gave me medicine and regularly checking up on me. GermanyIt‘s located in a quieter area. One needs a motorbike or a taxi to get round. Otherwise it‘s really easy, 10 minutes to the Old quarter
Xuan was a fantastic and thoughtful host. She got me sorted with everything needed including a prompt check in, motorbike and a lot of handy advice, including tips during Tet Holiday. I‘d come again.

IndiaThe location is good in terms of cab, ATM and other facilities. However the area comes 2nd to Old quarter area. If you book a halong bay cruise, this area is not serviceable and you don't get picked up from your hotel. Not too big a deal though. Because you can easily get a grab to the starting point (opera house) which is cheap and costs around 60.0000 to 70.000 vnd. The balcony is long but really narrow. I liked it but it would have been nicer if it was a bit wider.
Sparkling clean rooms and bathrooms Tasteful interiors The host is really nice, helpful and she has the cutest kid She let us keep our luggage for the entire next day free of cost at the property when we went for halong bay cruise. She even let us use the washroom to change clothes and freshen up for free before we left for the airport to catch our next flight. Value for money You literally get way more than what you pay

SpainI think the fotos on booking of the accomodation could imporve. I booked this place because of the good reviews and the good price, and i was so happily impressed when i went in the room.
I would recomend this place to whover is looking for a place to stay in Hanoi. The location is excellent, close to all of the places you would like to be around when you want to live here, plus its in a street where there is basically no noise. Which is quite difficult to find in Hanoi! I also wanted to highlight that the bed was super confortable, which i belive is super important, as in some accomodations you find Traditional Vietnamese beds, that is basically a really hard matress. This place was perfect :) Special thanks to the host that welcomed me even tough i arrived before the check in time. I really appreciated that :)

GermanyReally nice stay with a kind and responsive host! The room is really big and comfortable, and with a hot shower. You can do a machine's full load of laundry for very good price. My friend became sick with food poisoning during the stay and the host was kind enough to ask the guests that were to check in after us, if they could give up the room for us, and they understood the situation and kindly agreed. The host was really helpful and provided us water and was really communicative, thank you again :) this place is perfect if you want a quiet and comfy stay in Hanoi.
