Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumWe had rented a 2 bedroom villa and had brought lots of food and ingredients with us to cook. Upon arrival we learned that cooking in the villa is not allowed. The kitchen was empty: no plates, cutlery... Housekeeping had been a bit sloppy: there was a dead gecko dangling from the ceiling, kitchen cabinets were dusty, the soaps in the bathroom from the previous visitor hadn't been cleaned up. The impressive looking rainshowers didn't work. Same few songs with loud beat on repeat in the common areas. We received only sparse information about the resort upon arrival: a good map and a price list of all the activities would have been useful. Quality of the rental bikes was low.
Beautiful green area. Our villa had a lush tropical garden with nice little swimming pool m. Lots of kids friendly activities. Easy getaway for families living in Hanoi (I would not stay here as a foreign tourist or without a family).

Netherlands* Staff had limited English skills, which was surprising for an international resort. * There was confusion about which restaurants were available to us. Our stay coincided with a national holiday, so the resort was quite crowded and not all restaurants were available for us. At times, our only dining options were either a Vietnamese cuisine-only restaurant, or a buffet priced at $25 per person (and an a la carte room service) * Some time it was taking 15min+ for the buggie service, but that might be because of national holiday period * The resort is huge and very far away from any other place. Unless you have a car it's not possible to explore anything outside the resort. Visit if you plan for some restful days that you don't want to explore other Vietnam sightseeings
Breakfast was excellent, big variety of Vietnamese and western options. Inside the resort area there were many entertainment possibilities. The villas were clean and spacious, staff was nice and trying to help always. Coctails in the main pool bar were really great!

United KingdomMore staff training. If you are calling yourself an internationally acclaimed hotel, don’t just cater for the local market.
Beautiful location and grounds. Mix of good and rubbish, which is typical of Vietnamese owned hotels I understand. The hotel claims to be of international standards but this is not so. Appalling meal in Bamboo Restaurant, warm wine, served half way through dinner where food arrived all together. No staff training or English spoken. More interested in clearing tables away then providing a customer service. Having said that, excellent and professional service in another restaurant on site the following day. Front of house staff excellent and a credit, big shoutout to Anh. A real mix bag of experiences.

VietnamRoom service took over 1 hour and the food quality was so bad. No wine glasses, cups, plates, folks, nothing in the villa. There are just bottle of waters and electric kettle in the kitchen. . Service was bad too, front office staff didn't allow my friends to check in before the person who made reservation even though he showed booking confirmation and ID. Breakfast quality was bad like 2 star hotel and pool is too cold.

NorwayOur expectations were quite high upon arrival due to the fact that it’s a 5 start resort and spa. There are many restaurants and bars to chose from with different pools and many other facilities that live up to the standards of a 5 star resort. However, during our stay everything was closed and only 1 below average restaurant was open. All the bars were closed except the one outside by the main pool, but since it was very cold this wasn’t even an option. They had a very nice bar by the hotel lobby so we didn’t understand why that one wasn’t open instead of the one outside… There was supposedly a sky bar on the top floor but we were given different information from different staff about this. Some said it was closed, some said it was open, some said it was an outdoor bar but when we checked it out (you have to go up to the top floor when using the bathroom in the restaurant) it was definitely closed and an indoor bar. And why it was closed we don’t know, very confusing. But there were no indoor bars open during our stay which was very strange for a 5 star resort. The restaurant was ok but the steak was very chewy. Very annoying to only have 1 option out of the 5 or so restaurants on site and that option not being so good. We discovered later that there was almost no one here since we were alone at the only open restaurant which is where breakfast is served too, and we were alone there too… So we decided to opt for getting food delivered to our villa via the room service which turned out to be very good. However it was not the same menu as the only restaurant open so it was also confusing, but we ordered a good meal with some wine and that was actually very good. Another thing we have to mention is the begging for positive reviews. At the restaurant we were given a paper form to give the restaurant feedback and the staff was hanging over my shoulder watching.
The resort is nicely decorated, very well located and gives a unique feeling of being in a luxurious jungle. The entire building is filled with trees and plants which was stunning. There are a great variety of villas, and all of them looked very well taken care of. There were many enormous villas which were very nice to look at. We had a forest villa which was very nice, nothing to complain about there. Good beds, cozy terrace with furniture and an outdoor shower with warm water. We were located by the lake so it was amazing to wake up there each morning. Bikes provided free of charge and buggy transport to and from villa to main hotel or wherever, available at all times within 10 minutes and cost free as well. Very good breakfast 10/10. Very nice staff. Scooter rental available to explore the whole resort. Warm pool with plenty of space around. We decided to have dinner in our villa the last day so we ordered several courses and dishes from the room service menu, as well as some bottles of wine. This was very good and was not too expensive. The on site spa was absolutely amazing. We had a total of 6 hours there with all kinds of treatments and this was of high quality with experienced therapists. The Korean saunas were a new and nice experience. The jacuzzi and regular saunas were also nice but male and female can’t be together there so don’t go if you’re a couple and would like to experience it together.

VietnamFood: the food is bad and expensive. I ordered food to the room, so maybe the quality is not good enough. Facilities: there is no microwave in the room, so quite inconvenience for warmup food or free on your options.
Staff: very friendly and ready for help. They support customers's requests quickly and efficiently. Location: the location is super good, quite and large. It's good for enjoying a weekend.

United KingdomWhilst the facilities look 5 star, the experience is much, much lower standard. Everything is restricted, monitored, inflexible, tense and somewhat joyless. You get told off by pool attendants if you have not checked in at the poolside to be tagged like a prisoner, the dinner options are hotpot or…. hotpot. (How does a vegetarian feel about having a pile of raw meat put in front of them without any warning?) you are half- or full-board you have to pay extra for water. (The kids were given fries, but that was also the only kids’ option at lunch, at an addional cost, of course.) After 1 hour at dinner, with it clearly evident that I wasn’t going to eat the hotpot that had been placed on the table, the staff suggested the room service menu, so I signed the bill for my water and left. You have to ask multiple times to get the wifi turned on in the room. The room has a kitchen but has nothing in it (not even a basic minibar set). On a Thursday evening half of the food/drink options are closed, including those that are potentially most attractive, off of the central lobby. The issue, as ever, is a management issue. The managers train the staff to exercise discipline, efficiency and conformity to rules as a way of running a hotel. Rather than a focus on guest experience. So, at check out they do not ask whether enjoyed your stay: there’s no rule to check so nothing is said. I continue to strongly advise western visitors to avoid these large Vietnamese chain hotels. They never change. I occasionally give them another try but, oh boy, I am taking one for the team….
The location, gardening and interiors are very good. The facilities, especially the pool are adequate. Breakfast is quite good.
