Thank you Luis for a really well rounded review! We are glad you had a great time here and decided to write about us! We agree it's a pretty luxurious hostel with a really unique feel and design. That's because it's 100% Vietnamese owned, not a foreign chain or foreign investment or design. We thought hard about what each bed needed and the ergonomics of the rooms. We tested multiple breakfasts and found veggie breakfast was the winner. The pub crawl was also tested so many times to see what works - we're so pleased you're happy with it and thought it was great value. I let the pool bar staff know they're doing a fantastic job, thanks for letting me know. Safe travels and please do come back again, Dolphins Team.

Hey Julia, thanks for taking the time to give us a good review with fair comments. The free breakfast is popular and plentiful, the guests often younger but we do cater for everybody (oldest ever was 78)! We are trying to achieve both social and chill allowing guests to party at the main bar or take it easy on the terrace. Thanks for staying and safe travels, Dolphins Team.

Hi Leyre! Thanks for the feedback. Let's start with the bad and finish on a high. Wednesday and Sunday we offer guests a pool party. Music does play during the hours of 3PM & 10PM. We're really sorry this disturbed you. During this time we purposely make other areas of the hostel quiet so guests have a quiet option, however being in our poolside room you would have been affected by the music if you wanted to rest. Whilst we won't change our pool party, we have made some changes based on your review as we think your comments are totally valid. On all non pool party days the pool will be chill music and a lower volume. On pool party days we will start the music at 3PM but again it will be softer and slower until 5PM, then party through until 10PM. On these days a member of staff will pre-warn guests so we can manage expectations. We hope you feel this is sufficient - at Dolphins we are working hard to offer a social party scene as well as chill spots and rest opportunities for all travelers/nomads. Now onto the good bit! Thanks for mentioning the super location, we are easily the best located hostel in Hoi An and guests rave about saving a fortune on taxis/Grabs. The terrace is one of our chill spots where we don't play music and guests can work or make calls to friends & family. Lastly, thanks for mentioning the staff, we are all hand picked for our roles and the standard is very high here, so we appreciate your acknowledgement of our efforts. Hey Blanca! Thank you for the kind and positive review. We enjoyed having you here and are happy we could help you make the most of your time in Hoi An. The cleaning never stops at Dolphins Hostel, it's a big job and the cleaners are awesome. The breakfast is an excellent free breakfast, we agree! We will keep going in this direction and expanding the building (4 new rooms and pool coming soon), and no doubt Adam will still be there giving top level customer service. Monica! We couldn't have said it better ourselves - thank you so much for an epic review! We're happy you loved staying here as much as we loved having you. Thanks for the detail in your review so others can see that we are super fresh & clean. Our location is hands down the best out of any hostel, no shuttle buses to town as we're right there. You don't even need a bicycle or scooter to get around as we are so close to everything. Thanks for pointing out the staff, we are all working hard to create an amazing hostel - and with the pool finished soon it'll be more like a resort!
