Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ZimbabweThe view of the room i booked, the Rosalie double room.
The environment is perfect for a quiet retreat. The location of the resort is right by the lake but be sure to book rooms with lake views. The room has crisp linen and very comfortable bed. Customer service was exceptional, with requests attended to within seconds. The breakfast offering had variety and the set menus offered an easy way of enjoying a mini buffet at reasonable cost. The resort has several recreational activities, which are fun if you come as a group.

United KingdomThe indoor pool was cold water, I don't think that's clear in the description.
Very peaceful setting next to the lake, free return shuttle bus in to town 3 times per day (or 15-20 minutes by taxi in to town for about £5), complimentary afternoon tea, lots of hotel activities if you have time (we stayed 2 nights, but could have stayed an extra night to use the hotel tennis courts, kayaking, electric boat ride, fishing, etc). Although the hotel was built in 2011 it's got a nice period style & furnishings.

Our Villa was huge so enough space for 5 people. The spa was great and the service very good.

SwitzerlandDon't book the Deluxe Garden and Pine hill room - it faces the parking area and the windows point to the nearby accommodations. Hotel is busy with groups and they are very noisy - rooms are not noise isolated and you can hear everything from the room below or next door, Double beds are 2 beds zipped together and there is an uncomfortable ridge in the middle.
The garden and surrounding area are very well kept and the lake view is amazing. Breakfast has local delicacies.. Staff is very helpful and accommodating.

VietnamCons: * Limited transportation: Expect a 30-minute wait for taxis to the city center, which is a 25-minute journey. * Unwelcoming service: The cleaning staff may not be particularly friendly. Recommendations: * Short and sweet: Limit your stay to 2-3 nights for the optimal experience. * Two-wheeled freedom: Rent a motorbike for convenient and independent travel to the city. * Culinary escape: Don't miss Rừng Thông Mơ Farm & Bistro, a stunning restaurant 30 minutes away.
Pros: * Spacious rooms: Enjoy ample space to relax, though views may be limited. * Breakfast extravaganza: Indulge in a culinary adventure with over 100 breakfast options. * On-site dining: Savor decent lunch and dinner choices, though not exceptional. * Serene surroundings: Explore picturesque gardens and countryside, and enjoy leisurely walks around the lake.

United KingdomThe “Superior King Room” was disappointing. It was below the lobby and next to the laundry so very noisy. There was a damp smell (although the staff did try and sort this with a dehumidifiers and diffuser). The fridge was dirty and mouldy. Pool was freezing.
Nice location overlooking the lake. Hotel is beautiful. Breakfast buffet was fantastic with plenty of choices.

RussiaOur recent stay at this hotel was a mixed experience. While the architecture and the stunning lakeside location surrounded by pine trees were truly impressive, the service left much to be desired. ### Pros: 1. **Beautiful Architecture:** The hotel's design is aesthetically pleasing and well thought out. 2. **Scenic Location:** The hotel is situated by a picturesque lake, offering serene views and a tranquil environment. ### Cons: 1. **Poor Service:** The staff seemed indifferent and at times, it felt as though guests were an inconvenience to them. 2. **Terrible Buggy Service:** The buggy service was the worst I've encountered in Vietnam. Waiting times ranged from 10-15 minutes, and sometimes the buggies didn't arrive at all. 3. **Unavailable Activities:** The advertised activities such as archery, boating, and fishing were not operational. We were told that the boats were fully booked, yet we spent an hour by the dock and saw no one using them. In conclusion, while the hotel has a lot of potential with its beautiful setting and architecture, the poor service and lack of available activities greatly detracted from our experience. Improvements in these areas could make this hotel a top-notch destination.

SingaporeThe resort had only one restaurant and the food is not value for money. And the food is not even of very good quality, so we ended up going out to eat, and that involved calling a taxi to go everywhere else.
The surroundings were well kept and clean. It's easy to find a quiet spot to enjoy the silence. The staff were very helpful too.

MalaysiaThe location of this hotel is certainly not easy to get to. The roads leading there can be dark and tad bit dangerous for tourist to drive to. It is located bit far from central so the travel out for food and other things can be a bit of a hassle without a car.
The whole aesthetic of the hotel was peaceful, grand and serene. It have well manicured gardens filled with assorted flowers that are photo worthy. The breakfast buffet was great with a variety of local and western food. Coffee is made upon order and it was delicious! The staff were all friendly and helpful with any of our request.

VietnamThe coffee machine has been broken during my stay. Dinner has limited choices, except the special offers for Tet season which we found the portion is too much in terms of food and price for a dinner. The swimming pool has no warm water anymore as a few years ago. I received an email from the Hotel manager informing that there would be a "mandatory" Gala Diner at a price of VND850,000/pax. I replied to them saying that I do not want to pay for anything "mandatory" and would be happy to consider joining the event if it is optional. Receiving my reply (via booking.com), the hotel kept silent since then without saying a word. They even did not mention the Gala Diner at the reception when we checked-in. I expected they would send us some apologies or some explanation but it seems that the hotel is not as "professional" as I expected.
We have stayed at Edensee a few years ago and wanted to go back again this lunar new year. Breakfast has plenty of choices and foods are pretty good. Landscape is very beautiful and well maintained. Staff is friendly (in particular Mr. Duc, the driver). The Sakura Festival, offered free to guests, is very interesting and a good initiative (staff at the event is very friendly and helpful).

The location of the hotel is one of the best I seen. In the woods next to the lake. Loved it. Room was big, decent and spacious. The hotel restaurant is not cheap but they make good food. For a couple or a family retreat it’s amazing.

VietnamSome aspects looked a bit run down. The game room toys were mostly broken, the pool tables only had 1 white ball between them. The swimming pool was freezing and unusable. The shower in our bedroom didn't drain properly until I removed the drain cover.
The views and the location near the lake were spectacular. Breakfast was very good quality. The staff were generally helpful and supportive.
