How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

There is a motorcycle pier in front of the main gate, so there is a little noise.
It's good to come out with friends and family.

Vicky was a very friendly host! She booked all the trips for us and was always very kind. She wants everyone to have the best time! The room is good and the location is close to the old town. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Vicki was so so so so so so so helpful and so nice! She is a treasure. She helped us book tickets for local attractions for a discounted price. Let her book everything for you, don't book with Klook etc she will get you the best prices and experiences. She also surprised us with two Banh Mi while we were waiting for our driver. They were so good! Thank you so much Vicki!!!! The rooms are nice with balcony and view. 10/10

Everything was ok
The room was big and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The swimming pool was the perfect ending after a hot day of sightseeing. Also, the owner was so kind and she helped me in everything I needed.

The staff couldn't do enough to help us they were very pleasant and sorted out washing our clothes and gave us plenty of information about what we could do , if we had known before that they could get tickets to the places we had already booked for a lot cheaper we would have booked through them, the rooms were nice and clean

There is a bridge nearby that mostly motorcycles use, it can be a little noisy, but really we didn't hear it inside the villa.
I cannot say enough about staying here. If I could I would give B'Lan Riverside Villa 15/10. Vicky is amazing! Staying here was like staying with a family friend. We felt so welcomed, cared for, and comfortable. She has amazing recommendations, and unlike other places that promise deals, you can believe her. She never steered us wrong. We booked our cooking class through her and were so pleasantly surprised - it was an amazing experience. She had great feedback on the local tailor shops, and sent me the right direction to purchase an Ao Dai. We even booked our ride back to the airport in Da Nang with her. Our room was always clean and cared for, we never went without. We loved our stay beyond what words can express. Leaving was like saying good-bye to a family friend, and I truly hope we can get back there to see her again.

Our stay here was absolutely perfect. It’s such a good location and the rooms were spacious and clean. The best part about our stay here was the host. She was wonderful. She helped us with everything we needed!

Amazing owner, so kind and helpful. Got us a cheaper taxi to airport and let us check in 10 hours early. Clean room, good bathroom, comfy beds, quiet, great location.

This is a small comfortable and clean hotel. Very close to the centre in Hoi An. Vicky the owner was very accommodating. She even organised our trips and made us breakfast to takeaway on our last day.

The location was perfect and the owner was very kind and helpful. She welcomed us from the moment we arrived and helped us with everything.
