Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThis is worth the 5 stars. The building’s architecture is scenic and fascinating (so is its history), the staff is discrete yet efficient and responsive. The bedroom was spacious, well insulated, the wooden furnitures are beautiful - bonus point for the bathroom which was (not the most high tech) but clean and spacious. The shower was huge. Small daily services are all what makes a hotel a 5 star and not a 4-star, like fruits or cakes in the bedroom, staff preparing the room in the evening on top of the morning clean, a great room service…. Thank you to all the staff for this experience.

France3 nights were too short.
Everything - one of the best 5 stars hotel we had the chance to visit around the world: very nice staff, lovely art deco and cosy buildings, best breakfast we ever had and restaurant was really good, high quality fitness equipments, nice and big swimming pool (maybe too hot but cannot complain about the weather) and we appreciated the sweets delivered every day in our room as well as for the tea time.

AustraliaThere was a very noisy event one of the nights we were there with karaoke outdoors blaring so loudly it was loud inside the room. I don’t know that it is necessary to have such loud music outdoors. In any case it was finished by 9 but just meant a late night for our son. If it hadn’t stopped then I think I’d have wanted to move hotels!
Gorgeous old building and comfortable generous sized rooms

United StatesOur first room Deluxe King with River View felt small and had only one air con vent for two rooms - causing one room to be freezing while the other was warm. We paid to move to a larger room - which we enjoyed immensely!
Probably the best hotel/resort in Hue. Colonial history and architecture sets the tone for a true 5-star experience, and the staff know exactly how to uphold that service. Food was mostly just okay, but extremely well-presented. However my Beef Tournedos was one of the best steaks I've eaten! The Perfume River Suite had a massive two-corner terrace with sunset and river views that made our stay truly special.

United KingdomBuilding work starting very early behind the pool area - we were not told about this until we arrived. Visible from our balcony which detracted from the view of the river and our sleep somewhat. We were given 2 drinks vouchers but this didn’t really compensate for the impact.
The staff were wonderful, friendly, professional and very courteous. Great spa with one of the best massages Fantastic breakfast with a wide choice. Great pool. 30 mins walk to the main hub of Hue - we were happy to be in this location with only 5 mins walk to the train station and about 30 to the citadel.

AustraliaThe river bank in front of the hotel was under construction, but didn’t bother us too much. (2025.02.25)

United KingdomSome people swam in the pool but I found it just a tad too cold. Perhaps the heating could be switched on?
Every single member of staff goes beyond expectations to provide a friendly and efficient service. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are comfortable and quiet, despite construction work going on by the river. Food is superb. Reception desk staff work hard to fulfill their guests’ needs. They provided a hotel minibus to take us on to Hue at a very reasonable cost which was modern, clean and fully equipped for the journey, including massage chairs and refreshments, as well as a very amicable driver. Our second stay here and would love to find a reason to return again!

AustraliaWe liked the fact that there were little cakes for guests to help themselves in the afternoon but when we ordered tea to have with it we had to pay for the tea which was freely available in our room. In other hotels we've stayed at we could order tea or coffee with the sweets served.
We had breakfast and dinner there and the service was good; we particularly liked the dinner in the dining room-good food choices and nice ambience.

Wow what an incredible pool! 30-40 mtrs long depending. the building oozes colonial charms and is well maintained..glorious location right on Perfume River (Song Huong) and easy walking distance to many sights, cafes and restaurants. Breakfast staff very welcoming, provided special request mango, assembled excellent pho and as with all the staff provided a gracious hospitality. The concierge Ms Moon was resourceful and friendly...arranging a tour of tombs & surprising us with an anniversary bouquet of roses and sweet treats...the related restaurant Le Circle less than 10 mn walk down the river is splendid with perfect sunset views. Front desk crew and drivers first rate and enjoyed good massage at the spa. For some good local food visit Madame Thu and for upscale dining in a lovely villa across the river is Les Jardins de Carambole. Try the local salt coffee and for great roastery of Vietnamese Arabica (from many areas)...go to Nha Quin..about 7 mn by cab.
