How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This property is centrally located on the main strip at An Bang beach. A brief walk to everything. So handy, and very quiet. The in room fridge was the best I have ever had in Vietnam, everything was lovely and cold. And the air con was modern and QUIET. Could sleep without ear plugs.

Only thing was there no remote to the TV, granted I never asked about it.
Absolute luxury honestly, for such a good price. Hot water worked amazingly, host was kind and friendly and helpful. She even warned me about certain restaurants in the area being too expensive. Highly suggest this place if you want a peaceful few nights away from the chaos of Vietnam.

Just abit noisy being in the Main Street but the karaoke shut down at 10pm so was fine, also next to a school so kids up and awake early!
Lovely host who went out of her way and let me some cash as I was getting low! Very generous. Booked me a tour and arranged taxis for me, very helpful.

It's on the main street and my room was at the front so you can hear the noise from the road. I didn't have too much trouble sleeping though.
Mi is very lovely and super helpful. She was always available on whatsapp and answered all my questions very quickly Location is very close to the beach and close to loads of restaurants. I loved Red Apple and went 3 times during my stay. The room and bathroom are very spacious and clean. I'm very happy with this homestay.

Nothing , loved everything
what an amazing lovely lady running this homestay. She was such a beautiful person and made this place feel so warm and welcoming honestly a mother away from home❤️ great location so close to restaurants and beach perfect spot, such clean comfy rooms and great price. 10/10 stay ⭐️🫶 100% recommend staying here while in Hoi an.

Hotels do offer more. You pay for the service in a well staffed hotel. I had no issues and this place was great. Just saying, homestays and hotels are different.If a 24 hour front desk,etc wanted, you will need to pay more.
My room was spacious and very comfortable. Shower was very good. The couple who run the homestay were friendly and told me I was home. Such a kind greeting. Price, location and comfort made this homestay a great choice for me.

Absolutely nothing.
We had an amazing time staying here. The room is a great size, powerful shower, super clean and comfortable, and so close to everything you need for a lovely beach holiday. Mi, we just want to say thank you to you and your husband for how kind and hospitable you were. It was so lovely to meet you and we will definitely stay again!! 10000% would recommend this place!!

Loved everything
Absolutely everything! Super comfy bed, amazing staff who are super friendly and helpful, large rooms, can rent bikes super cheap, the owners can help book for activities and buses etc! We moved here after loving An Bang and wanted to stay longer , it was one of the more affordable spots which looked good and I can say we loved our stay here! They check the room during your stay and changed our towels for us, supplied us with beach towels etc… Super quiet at night and perfect location near the beach and some lovely food! Minh and her husband were also super amazing when I left my phone at the memories show in Hoi An, we returned quite late maybe around 10:30pm or so after getting a cab from the old town and realised I didn’t have my phone when we got back to our room, they both quickly got on the phone to grab and to the show people to check, Minh then drove me to town that evening to check if my phone was still at the show, which luckily they had and safely returned it to me! They even had a shower for us to use on the day of our check out before the sleeper bus to Da Lat. Thank you again Minh!

Nice, clean n quiet family run homestay. This family is very kind n welcoming. Great location too, 5 mins walk to the beach n 10 mins ride to Hoi An town. Oh n great restaurant in its vicinity.
