Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesOur stay at Pink Palm was very enjoyable. The property is gorgeous with eclectic decor, relaxing pool and hot tub area, and sweeping views. Our room was huge with everything we need, including 2 balconies with sea views, a kitchen, large bathroom, sitting area, great storage, and comfortable king bed. The staff were helpful and responsive. The only hiccup was that the hot tub had piping issues on the day we were leaving and water was coming into our room, but luckily it didn't impact us much as we were checking out. Would come back again!

United StatesThe restaurant is pricey, I only ate the one thing which was Tuna Tartare and it was just ok. Can't speak for the rest of the dishes.
It's such a beautiful property, it is well designed, it's a little gem in the heart of the city. Aesthetically it's perfection.

United StatesThe hotel is in a well renovated old building with rooms on multiple floors only accessible by steps (no elevator). Because we are "seniors' , we asked if someone could bring our bags up to office at check-out. They said "of course" but did not mention an additional "room service fee" ($9.20) for the service (note that the hotel also charges a $50 "resort fee" for reasons that are unclear). It doesn't seem that there should be a charge to simply have bags brought to check-out given that there are not elevators but at least they should have mentioned that such a fee was being charged up-front.
Nice property with easy walking access to Charlotte Amalie. Restaurant was very good.

United StatesHaving to ask repeatedly for customer service. The night before our last day, the restaurant and bar had to completely shut down for deep cleaning. I was notified by text about 2 hrs before the closing. I understood the need to be closed so I just asked for a bottle of wine to our room. What was upsetting is that I kept being told no when we have 1) paid up front our entire stay including resort fees 2) unexpected change in plan from the hotel 3) final night in the hotel and we can't even get a drink to the room? The person was extremely rude and nonchalant so I spoke with a manager. She apologized, allowed me to purchase a bottle. I asked do guests not receive anything when they can't use paid for facilities? She asked what I would like, and I simply asked for another bottle of the same wine. She said no problem, it will be sent to room on her- free of charge. Fast forward to today when I finally see the checkout receipt. There is a charge for the wine AND a room service charge. Not only was it on the receipt, it was taken out of the incidentals that we were supposed to 100% be receiving back. So now I have had to call to receive zero resolution, and hope I can catch a manager in the morning.
Excellent spot, location and vibe 💜Clean and safe👍🏾 comfortable bed and air conditioning👍🏾 Really cute accommodations for celebration in my room 🥳

United StatesI had the time of my life!!!!!!
Breakfast was the cutest and required the least effort. The stairs were not bad at all. A little bit of exercise was worth it. Coming back to the hotel every day and indulging in the views and the quietness of the location was AMAZING! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit. It is so close to town and you will not want to leave. Definitely coming back. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

United StatesHad requested an early check in but weren’t able to check in until after 4pm. A lot of time waiting around. Would be better if they told us up front. Or suggested another room that would be ready sooner. Restaurant was closed for dinner, but fortunately the staff recommended a great restaurant which was a short walk away.
Really cool architecture built on the hill overlooking the city and the bay.

United StatesI do wish they incorporated local cuisine on the menu. I wish vegan options for the breakfast were offered. I did ask for that accommodation but it seemed like no options were on hand. My trip was short, so that did not allow much time for vegan yogurt options to be procured. Some of the fruits served at breakfast were sour.
Loved this hotel! It looked exactly like the pictures online. The views of the city from the hotel were breathtaking! I loved the colors, the decor, the amenities. It felt like luxury in nature and city life altogether.

United StatesThe location is good, but you really need to know which entrance to come in - if you come in the bottom entrance with luggage, you have a lot of stairs to navigate. Once in, the views are great. The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast basket is cute - may need to add better coffee service.

United StatesThe only downside is that the main entrance of the hotel is not Assesible for wheelchairs, older people who may use walking canes or people who have trouble with balance. There's A LOT of stairs. If I could make any recommendations to address this I would say to book your taxi to & from the airport and during your stay directly with the resort as opposed to using an outside service who will leave you down the hill from the front entrance.
The location was A1. In the heart of everything! Great food, nightlife and shopping. The breakfast in the a.m was a cute touch as well. The staff were all very friendly and offered great suggestions about things in the area. I loved how quiet, clean and quaint the resort was and the views were amazing
