Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Saint Vincent & GrenadinesThe only minor issue was the WiFi - my laptop was fine but the phone only connected when I was leaving… maybe fate said I wasn’t supposed to be working? 😄
Great location and so peaceful… I am in love with the super comfy bed, I had a great nights sleep.

United KingdomWe had problems with the water pressure throughout our stay, in both the shower and the taps. There isn’t an oven at the property which made cooking limited. We were also expected to get our own washing up liquid which I thought was a bit cheeky. There was building work going on at the property- which would have been nice to know prior to booking/ getting to the property! It didn’t affect us too much as we were out most of the day but it would have been nice to know.
The location was great for access to the beach. The beds were super comfortable and the air con worked brilliantly! The outdoor seating was nice also. We didn’t realise we would get alternate daily cleaning so that was a nice addition.

CanadaLack of a restaurant. Would have preferred a stand-alone villa. Closest beach was too rough and rocky for swimming.
Unit was not a villa, but a suite within a two storey building. Kitchen was well equipped but lacked a few essentials as well as a dining table with chairs. Difficult to self-cater without a car as there were no nearby food stores. Excellent restaurant 10 minute walk out to the point (La Vue). Can also walk to Villa Beach along the beach (with a slight uphill section along a side street) where there are several hotel restaurants. Beach there is however quite ugly. Best part of staying at Stonetrail was the staff. Melissa, especially, was very helpful and friendly.

SerbiaIf you like to walk it is a little adventurous. People on the island are the kindest of the all Caribbean countries I visited, but the neighborhood is not easily and nicely walkable.
The houses are a nice concept, and the owner invested a lot in guests' comfort. To some extent, it is an oasis in one completely poorly governed country.

United KingdomThe only downfall in my property the shower was very old school, the shower head is wall mounted and had light water pressure there was a white wire that is attached to it that sprinkled water on the other end (but did not work so well during our stay) the studio property my family had opposite to us had a mordern hand held shower hose which we had to use from time to time to get a good wash.
Perfect location with indian bay beach on our doorstep! a restaurant near by, If you drive its 10mins away from a local supermarket and randys (Corner shop) is a 10min walk from the villa. The staff were nice and helpful, helped us with getting us taxi’s and giving us directions and what ever we needed to make our stay pleasant it was lovely and i would stay here again.

CanadaMy villa was very nice and well equipped, and the people there were very friendly and helpful. Indian Bay Beach is only a short walk away, but there are no facilities there. There are no amenities near to Stonetrail Villas except La Vue Resort on the hill above. Access to Villa hotels and restaurants is by a long walk along the main highway, and there is no direct access to Villa Beach except a long walk up and over a high promontory. Best is if you have a car, or take taxis.

United KingdomThere is some building work going on. However, this did not affect our stay. To the contrary, I am looking forward to seeing the completed villas.
My mom and I stayed at this property for a week and were very satisfied with our stay. The rooms were clean, spacious and beautifully designed. The staff were also friendly, helpful and ensured your needs were always taken care off. Particularly, they allowed my elderly father to visit and stay over on multiple occasions - which was very important to me. I would 100% recommend Stonetail Villas to future guests, and likely, stay there again when I return to St Vincent.

Czech RepublicI would easily give the accommodation the highest mark, but ..... It is not possible that early in the morning the workers on the adjacent undelivered objects start pounding with hammers, chiseling, etc. It woke us up, while, paradoxically, these works stopped at noon. The air conditioning is aimed directly at the bed - it cannot run even at night.
Excellent location in a quiet location (except see "what I didn't like") a short distance from the beach, where you can snorkel beautifully. Excellent room equipment, you don't need basically anything (pots, cutlery, knives, etc.). Fast internet, beautifully maintained garden. Tree with aki fruit opposite.

AustriaThere aren't really any places to eat and drink close by, but within walking distance of about 20 minutes max - so if your on vacation and have time (like in our case), don't let this keep you from staying at Stonetrail Villas. Also, as far as I understood, they are currently building a restaurant on the property, so this might not be an issue in the future anyway.
Lovely staff, stunning beach (way more beautiful than the other beaches, where most of the hotels in Arnos Vale are), very comfortable bed and all over a great place to stay. We had a wonderful time. Thank you to everybody! It was a real pleasure to meet you.

United KingdomContrary to the Booking.com listing details, they can't store luggage which was a pain when we had a late flight. This ruined our final day plans, unfortunately.
Lovely villa with sea view and spacious rooms. Very quiet beach (Indian Bay) 30 seconds away, with good coral reefs and plenty to see (tropical fish, lobsters, eels, turtles!). Very friendly and welcoming staff. Walking distance to the supermarket and places to eat/drink. Easy to travel into Kingstown via minibus just up the road.

Bonaire St Eustatius and SabaThe bathroom sink didn’t have enough space to put stuff or more towel racks to hang up towels. Also, found the bedroom next to the bathroom a bit cramped and didn’t like that the mirror in the bathroom is loose. Found that a bit dangerous. Other than that everything was good.

United StatesThis was a very authentic and pleasant stay. Our hosts went out of their way to make our experience memorable. We walked two minutes to the beach, we’re close to places to eat good food and it everyone was friendly and gracious. We visited nearby islands, the botanical gardens, a museum in Kingstown and even met the Prime Minister who introduced himself to us as Ralph. We had no idea what to expect but found ourselves meeting wonderful people and staying in comfort and safety.

CanadaMaintenance staff always gave lame excuses. We had to argue for 4 days to have a safety deposit box installed despite this being promised by the manager before we arrived. The 2nd day after we arrived, we bought several hundred USD worth of groceries locally only to discover that the fridge didn't work. It wasn't fixed until the 4th day of our 8 night stay so you can imagine how disappointed we felt. Noisy noisy noisy - due to ongoing onsite construction right outside the bedroom windows. One of the cleaning staff did not refill the dish soap dispenser but filled it with water!
Conveniently located within walking distance to beach. Very clean and spacious Presidential Suite. Large furnished balcony with overhanging roof providing shade. Melissa was helpful in arranging taxis and cleaning service (every 2nd day).

United KingdomI didn't like the half hotel/half air B&B vibe. As the staff provide cleaning and laundry services you are reliant on them to clean and can't do any laundry. I would have like at least a dust pan and brush to clean up after ourselves when returning from the beach. I think some of the villa's are being updated as ours was a bit older. For example, the shower in our villa was also outdated and hard to use with children as it was not a proper hose shower and the hot water didn't get hot enough, the main door was also tricky to lock. Unfortunately we also had several issues during our stay such as the gas container running out, water turned off and no electricity for the last day of our stay. While these issues are things that can happen, my main concern was that there is no 24-hour service therefore when the electricity went out in the evening we had nobody to contact and had to wait until our missed calls were seen the next morning when the staff arrived. I feel that this is quite a big issue as if anything happens after 7pm there is no way to get hold of anyone which means you have to wait until the next day to receive help. Apart from use of another villa to shower and get ready in, we were not offered a refund or anything for the day of lost electricity on our second to last day. All of our frozen goods and some things that we wanted to bring back with us had to be binned due to the lack of electricity. Lastly, there are ongoing construction works from 8am to 4pm, 6 days a week. This was not mentioned prior to booking and we were only informed when we checked in. Again, this is something that should be advertised so that people can decide if this is something they want to endure and not told at the last minute when they are checking in.
Location was great. We rented a car for the duration of our stay so were able to access supermarkets for food shopping and get around the island easily. Indian Bay beach is literally a 2-min walk, which our kids absolutely loved. We walked along the beach to where the water is calmer and so clear! The staff were friendly and helpful when needed. Mostly liked the layout of the villa as it was family orientated. Cooking facilities were good; great selection of utensils etc. There was also a gazebo which we used frequently in the evenings. This was a nice space to sit outside and relax. There is a lovely breeze in the evenings. Towels and bedding were changed every two days but the staff were also happy to change these upon request. Would stay again if the villa's are updated a bit as the location was perfect.
