The hotel is within the city walls, so with a short walking distance you can reach all the major attractions of Khiva. It has a beautiful terrace from where you can admire the city’s buildings in the evening.

WiFi was very weak, the lady at the breakfast buffet was a bit annoying. Seating at the terrace could be more led back.

The terrace had one of the best views in the city. Breakfast was varied and nice. They had water distributor (essential since we didn't find in Khiva supermarket selling a minimum 5l tank).

Khiva is a small city, so it's highly recommended to stay inside the walls (each time you cross the wall you have to pay unless you go through a door with no one checking - there are some). Arkanchi hotel is near one of the gates in a quiet square. To arrive to Khiva we arranged a transfer with the hotel for 15 euros cash each ride. The room is ok, very clean and quiet. Staff is nice and breakfast is very complete. You can have the breakfast inside or it's nicer in the interior patio. Hotel has no restaurant, so we ate at Arxi restaurant (managed by very young people but awesome!) and The Terrace (needs reservation if you want to be on the upper level). Really worth it to visit Khiva at night as some buildings are iluminated

The breakfast was pretty bad. Luke warm coffee. I don’t eat eggs and ended up just eating outside of the hotel for breakfast. For the price the breakfast can absolutely improve and provide decent coffee for guests.

A minor issue. One of the twin beds was a bit noisy.

It is inside the walled old city. All attractions are inside this city. The hotel is very quiet. There are many restaurants and small shops nearby. All staff are very helpful. I remember Mr Amir who helped me a lot with my phone and roaming. The terrace is an interesting place from where the entire city is visible. The taxi and Yandex taxis stop just beside the hotel boundary.

We were lucky to get a very large in the corner with view on some attractions from the two windows. The hotel is very well located two steps from everything. The staff is super polite and helpful. The view from the terrace is stunning and we had two wonderful sunsets over there drinking a beer

Great location and great staff. We really enjoyed our stay, however for the price we expected better wifi. If you're considering visiting the ancient fortresses around Khiva, go with a local guide. The hotel tour is very overpriced.

Soundproofing could have been better, although this is probably not so easy to achieve in buildings in the historic center.

Nothing negative about the hotel. I would say that, depending on when you arrive/depart, one night in Khiva is more than enough.

All was fine. Great location. Comfortable hotel. Slow wifi but I think that is typical for this part of Uzbekistan (I just used mobile data). Breakfast was good. Would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to stay within the walls.

No mid-day shade on the terrace

The Hotel Arkanchi in Khiva was very communicative from the start; they arranged a pick-up from the train station and they accommodated an early check-in for us that was quick and easy. The location is right near all the walking spots & interesting attractions and shops and yet we were surprised a how quiet the area was. The shower had great water pressure (important to my wife) and the beds were comfortable and soft with good pillows. The breakfast buffet is varied; eggs, potatoes, meat and oatmeal all warmed, along with numerous salads, a variety of cut fruit, cold cuts of meat, bread, and pastries. The rooftop terrace is VERY nice as we used it for sunrise and sunset, twice! Watching the sunrise is a real treat!
