Generally speaking, it's good value for what it costs. The bathroom dimensions are too compact.

To us, breakfast means lots of coffee and a croissant. We are not meant to judge. The display looks good and plenty, and I gather it's meant to meet the preference of their Brazilian guests.

The location of this hotel is VERY good, 1 block from the Rambla, close to shopping, close to the airport and the old city. I walked around at night and never felt unsafe, not once. Staff at the hotel were always super friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace was a cool place to chill out. The breakfast was good and the ladies that ran the breakfast were very nice also. My room was bit outdated but was ok.

*As I mention before the toilet smell at the entrance of the hotel and in the room. *Not enough cloth hangers (only 2) I went to ask for extras *The bathroom have very limited space for toiletries. * The sliding door needs definitely to be fix as does not slide easily at all, its extremely heavy.

The hotel in general needs a lot of renovations as it's really very old. The toilet smell as soon as you get in the hotel it's bad, as well in the room. Now what is the point to put a kettle, cup tea spoon when you don't put at least 2 sachet of coffee, 2 teas, 2 milk and 4 sugars!!! We been in many hotels and resorts all of them have that abd a box of tissues. Our 1st night was a disaster as an alarm next to the lift next to my daughter's and our room went off at 2:35am for long time enough to wake up the whole hotel abd then at 4:35am. We couldn't believe it!! Very disturbing!

Although the rooms had good dimensions the hotel overall is in dire need of maintenance. There are cracks on the walls and furniture, the painting is peeling in some areas and the elevator is small for the number of rooms and floors. Otherwise it was a good stay.

We booked the penthouse but not as great as it sounds. It was very tired and needed a revamp and a good clean. Outdoor table had one chair, the terrace was dirty and mouldy. The dead pot plants had plenty of cigarette butts despite being a non smoking hotel. The breakfast was very poor and extra costs.

Breakfast is quite subpar, especially for the price charged, could be much better. Apart from that, the bathroom is quite disappointing as well, it is very small and the shower is pretty lousy, no wonder there are no pictures of the bathrooms here.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the location is excellent. Couldn't hear any noise coming from other rooms as well, which is great, although the noise from the construction site across the street was quite loud in my room.

What I didn't like was the noise. During two nights of my stay, some people booked a room on the 11th floor for a night to have a party with loud music; I called and the people at the front desk had to deal with them. Then, during the 2 weekdays before my departure they were fixing things on the 12th floor where they have the gym and a large terrace and the noise of a power drill was very intense and loud and I finally had to call the front desk to complain and they did stop the noise. Now, I spent three weeks in the hotel, so I had time to experience all of these things but if you spend only 2 or 3 days you will not experience any of these or if you book a room in the lower floors.

I booked an apartment on the 11th floor. It was very nice and comfortable. It had a beautiful terrace with impressive view of the area. This apartment exceeded my expectations because I was not expecting an entire apartment with full kitchen, good sized bedroom and bathroom and dining/sitting area. The maids were very helpful and friendly as well as the rest of the staff.
