How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The beds were a little uncomfortable while sleeping, and definitely could use updated smart TVs to sign into Netflix or to watch YouTube. Other than that it was pretty good.

Verified reviewThe location was right in the middle of a lot of big attractions and not far from others. Room was large and clean. Price was a low average for the area.
We did not see any breakfast offered. Too much light coming into the room at night. View from room window was a dried up overgrown swampy looking area full of trash. Bathroom vent was not working which is causing moisture and mold to build up around the vent.

It was our 3rd (and the last) time we had stayed here. And I have what to compare with. This time: 1. No laundry basket and hangers in a room 2. Mold and mildew in a bathroom, in a bathtub, in a sink, toilet. 3. Dusty cabinets, even area behind the TV was too dusty. They clean only front side 4. Towels and bedding were after laundry but too old, stained, with someone’s hair. 5. You get just one roll of toilet paper. And if you need more - you need to ask for it at the front desk during working hours. It’s ridiculous. 6. Low-quality but free coffee. I would better pay to get a cup of a good coffee. 7. Noisy, especially at night. 8. The smell of cigarettes and weed in the building

THE STAY WAS HORRIBLE BECAUSE THEY HAD FIRE ALARM ISSUES AND THEY KNEW THIS BEFORE WE BOOKED AND DID NOT LET ANYONE KNOW. THE SYSTEM WENT OFF THEE TIMES DURING OUR STAY AND DID NOT GET ANY REST DURING OUR STAY. WE HAD TO TRAVEL BACK TO ALABAMA FOR A 3 1/2 HOUR RIDE HOME WITHOUT PROPER REST REALLY! THEY SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS BECAUSE THEY KNEW THEY HAD PROBLEMS FOR ALMOST 2-MONTHS FROM AN EMPLOYEE THAT WORKED THERE! EVERYONE THAT STAYED AT THIS HOTEL SHOULD BE REIMBURSE FOR THIS STAY AND I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN! HIGHLY PISSED

Verified reviewThe location wasn’t close to the beach as it would appear in the booking app. All the beach areas in front of the hotel are private so it’s about a 7-8 minute drive w/ traffic to get to a public part of the beach. But the beach is visible from the hotel. Lots of attractions in walking distance. Lots of eateries in walking distance
The hotel smelled. It’s a stench from the moment you leave the lobby area. This is a hotel where people live. So if you’re not used to people outside drinking beer and talking loud then don’t book it.. Everything is extra!! We had to pay for a fresh set of towels. We never experience this, so it was new for us. WiFi is not free because all the people who live there are on it literally everyday all day and all that is left is the paid options. All of this sucked but the icing on the cake for us was apparent the last night of our stay. We traveled with my 7 year old autistic son who is very sensitive to noises.. He despises fire alarms. At approximately 2am the fire alarm went off which freaked my son out to the point of tears!! We go downstairs in our night attire and all.. so we wait for the fire truck to come and all!! The hotel was cleared and we went on about our night. We finally calm him down then again at about 3am it goes off again!! I’m clearly upset atp and I’m talking to the cleaning lady like hey this isn’t cool at all.. so we go sit in the car and my baby is so visibly upset that he’s refusing to go inside the hotel again.. what choice do I have besides sleeping in the car.. we stayed for a few hours and it’s about 7am when my older son decides to come out and talk him into going back in!! So I shut my eyes for 2.2 seconds when the fire alarm goes off again!! I hadn’t slept all night but I decided I’d get more rest at a rest stop!! So when we try to check out, there’s no staff members to help us so we were planning on leaving with the keys when the only staff member who was really accommodating to us is coming into work holding her breakfast and she’s apologizing about the situation.. we gave her our keys and away we went!! After a 2 hour nap at the rest station, I was able to drive the 6 hour trip home!!

Fire alarms going off 3x’s at 2:00 am, 4:00 am’ and then again at ~ 10:00 am on checkout, cause undetermined. Ultimately left with a bad feeling of uncertainty and fear of being in an unsafe facility, especially when other guests were also verbalizing the same concerns. To add insult to injury we’re were charged full price for our 1 night stay ☹️

We were there 3 nights and did not have our room cleaned the whole time. I was more like one of those places that people stay for a while because alot of construction workers was staying there
