How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The Windsor is an historic hotel, but had modern conveniences such as air conditioning and bright lights even though older fixtures. Bed was very comfortable. No refrigerator in room but staff could accommodate since they have a restaurant on site. The restaurant is more than excellent!! No breakfast, but at sign-in was told five possible places to have breakfast, one right across the street. I really enjoyed my stay, dinner at their restaurant, and would highly recommend.

The bathroom was freezing even though we upped the thermostat. The bedroom was chilly too. I had the steak frites for dinner and then was ill all night. I left a note for the hotel front desk lady but she never replied
The hotel has been nicely renovated. The beds were comfortable, we slept well! The water in the shower was hot and the pressure was good. The bistro was very lively! The service in the restaurant was really excellent.

Maybe the spongy pillows could be improved up on but it is a minor detail.
We absolutely loved this faithfully restored hotel dating back to 1874 with lots of original features and details. The service was also excellent. This is everything but an anonymous hotel franchise but oozes authenticity and character.

Nothing the stay was great and the staff very friendly helpful and professional
This is an historic building that was refurbished to reflect it’s original status from the 1880’s with modern amenities The restaurant is top end matching the quality of a major city

Everything was perfect
This is an old 'grand dame' of a hotel that has been lovingly and expertly restored. Walking into an 1873 hotel that looks as nice as it can get is a true joy. The front desk staff was pleasant and informative. Walking around the hallways and sitting rooms shows a wealth of history and beauty. And then there is the fantastic restaurant with its amazing wine, cocktail, beer, cider and NA drink list. I would highly encourage a stop here if you have the time to appreciate it and not hurry onward.

Beautiful property with an amazing history of restoration. Very comfortable bedroom. Dining room is a hidden gem. Fabulous food, wine selection, liquor selection and wonderful staff. Can’t wait to come back.

Very comfortable historic hotel. I have been to many Mountain West historic hotels. Not all updating is as nice as the Windsor. Many modern touches, flat screen TV, wifi, spacious room and bathrooms, good plumbing, nice fixtures. The restaurant is excellent. Both hotel and restaurant are good values. It's a treasure tucked into this mountain country town.

I loved staying in an historic building. There was a brief history of Colorado and the hotel on the wall in the lobby, and all furnishings were fitting. What it may have lacked in details (window shade didn't work, lotion missing) it more than made up for with the ambience and the staff. Every small request was more than satisfied.

This property is beautiful and immaculate. The owner checked us in with a smile. They had a Murder Mystery Dinner theater which was sold out. The next morning, I went to the Catholic Church. Beautiful church and beautiful people. An A+ weekend.

Air condition was completely eratic. Freezing when we got there, super hot in the night and it didn't seem to matter at all what we set the temperature to. There was no microwave or access to a fridge. The mattress in the bed was super soft and flimsy.
Staff was very friendly, the old style of the hotel is lovely, liked the location. The local ground coffee was a great addition to the room.
