There were no assigned parking spots. So when I got to my cabin, I had an empty spot right next to it. We left to go explore and do attractions. When we returned, all spots next to my cabin were taken, and I had to unload all my sleepy kids down the road and park, then walk a ways to my cabin. It is not ideal for a mom with 3 sleepy grumpy kids.

The staff was very friendly and the cabins were very clean. There was a Murphy bed that was extra and wasn't on the rooms list of beds. So that was a surprise but a good surprise. My kids didn't have to share a bed. Which was a win for mom!

Honestly the only thing that would be kind of nice is some kind of breakfast items but I knew going into it that breakfast was not included and there’s lots of great restaurants close by in hill city

Only complaint would be heater/air conditioner. Loud we had to shut it off at night, too noisy to sleep.

The cabins were so cute. Owners great. First night went to taproom and visited with them. Gave recommendations of restaurants and things to see. We would definitely come back here.

These aren't deal-breakers, and ... we understand these are "rustic" cabins, but we missed having a place to set our luggage. The bed was the only option unless we wanted to completely unpack. A slightly larger surface for holding toiletries in the bathroom would also be appreciated. And we'd have LOVED to use the cute tables on the little deck outside our room, but there was no effective sun-protection. Finally, we tried to catch the news on TV and there are a gazillion channels, all subscription it seems, and no guide. Simplifying that would be helpful.

Very clean and friendly little resort. Everyone we met (owners, parents, other visitors) were upbeat and enjoyable. LOVED the little tap room and time at the fire pit. Enjoyed sitting and reading on the outdoor patio furniture one afternoon. Nice break from all the Black Hills action. This resort is in a fabulous location for everything Black Hills. Yet it's nice not to be in the middle of all that at the end of the day. It's a wonderful haven. We think these new owners and staff are responsive and will be very successful with this resort.

Road noise was a bit of an issue as the property is next to the main road, as most properties in the area are.

Everything was clean and well maintained. Staff/owners are friendly and helpful. They have things for kids to play with and an inviting night-time fire pit to gather round.

The entrance to the camp was easy to drive by, having a sign next to the entrance with bright colors or having a sign earlier up would completely solve that problem.

The quietness of the area and wonderful view of black elk peak, provided a wonderful stay. The staff were also very warm and welcoming. The grounds were well maintained and clean, although we didn't use it having the option of attending a camp fire was appreciated.
