Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IrelandWe flew from Ireland as we just got engaged, we decided we would go with a smaller boutique hotel in NYC as we thought it would try to make us celebrate the occasion. I even wrote ahead of time informing! Receptionist didn’t even know nor did any of the staff, and we weren’t congratulated once or it wasn’t even mentioned which is disappointing - it doesn’t take much, chocolate on the pillow, a note or something- just missing that personal touch you’d associate with 5 star hotels. You would think even as we arrived at 2pm you’d at least do an early check in at the very minimum instead we had to wait till 4pm. After travelling that far and with notice you’d assume something would be done. (this is also reflected as after NYC we travelled further to Cape Cod and received a lovely, warm, celebratory welcome, which would have been nice as NYC was the first stop). Also claiming the breakfast and the food is complementary but then charging a hidden residence fee is also not what you would associate with a 5 star hotel.
Very central, staff very nice! Doormen super friendly and accommodating!

BrazilRegarding the reimbursement of 2 of my nights, I am not getting clear and objective answers about when exactly I will receive this amount, I have already tried to contact BOOKING.COM and also 2 managers of HOTEL WESTHOUSE (Ms. Pagye and Ms. Berlingeri), but I am still waiting for answers.
Breakfast: Excellent Location: Excellent I had severe and uncomfortable problems at the time of my CHECK-IN due to a miscommunication between BOOKING.COM and the Hotel WESTHOUSE. However, at the time of my CHECK-OUT HOTEL WESTHOUSE took care to reimburse me for all my losses, and for this HOTEL WESTHOUSE deserves my respect (reimbursement of 2 nights and 100% reimbursement of resident fees). I definitely recommend HOTEL WESTHOUSE!

Location was great. Breakfast was very good and the. Indulgence time between 5pm and 8pm was very welcoming. We could spend the day walking around the city have a reasonable lunch and then finish the day with a few wines and the food provided was more than enough for dinner.

United Arab EmiratesThe communal kitchen/food area on the 23rd floor which is used for breakfast and evening snacks/dinner isn’t big enough for the number of occupants the room seats. The set up area of the buffet style breakfast and evening is far too small, which meant there was no real queuing space and people end of clambering all over each other. Add to this the fact the staff start clearing up around 15mins before it’s due to end. Meaning you feel like you’re being forced out. Because of this we hardly used the space after the first couple of times. I also think there should be a 24hr offering for tea and coffee or at least have these facilities in the hotel rooms. Only having this facility available at breakfast and for a few hours in the evening isn’t really a great customer experience.
Great location for site seeing and being able to walk around NYC. Lovely entrance lobby and friendly helpful staff.

United KingdomThe gym can only comfortably cope with four people in the weights area. On each visit, there were many available cardio machines but little or no space near the weights.
Our third visit, great location and fabulous service in the restaurant/bar area. The one bedroom suites are ideal for our family group and the close proximity to the 23rd floor was ideal for using the food and drink facilities.
