Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesParking is tough. Either pay for a valet or try to find a parking garage/metered parking.
Property was located near attractions such as Carroll Creek but not in overly congested areas. The room was beautiful and well maintained. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

United StatesNothing! It was all great
It is a new(ish) hotel in the center of Fredericksburg, very close to all of the history, shopping, and restaurants. They did a beautiful job of elegantly using the historic elements and blending with the new elements that are respectful of the vernacular. The hotel rooms are very comfortable with great beds/pillows and pretty amazing bathrooms.

United StatesThe receptionist at check in was not welcoming or friendly. The check in was an underwhelming experience. The hotel opened on a Thursday and we stayed at the hotel on the Saturday of opening weekend. When we checked in there was another family in front of us so they asked us to take a seat, which we didn't have any issues with. As we sat there, two other families walked in and they were promptly greeted with champagne and were told that there rooms would be ready shortly. After waiting for 10 mins in the lobby, I walk up to the reception desk and asked for the status of our room for check in (it was 5pm and check in is at 4pm). The receptionist had a rude tone and said, 'you'll need to wait because there are other people waiting ahead of you'. I then informed her that we were waiting before the last two couples to walked in and would like to know the status of our check in. She then said, 'oh, what's your name'. I then gave her my name and the room was ready. Ultimately, the hotel wasn't properly staffed for an opening weekend and the evening shift receptionist is terrible and needs training on basic customer service.
I really liked the hotel location, it's in the heart of downtown Frederick and very walkable to the restaurants, shops and bars. We were celebrating my husbands bday and we rented the presidential suite (extended) and it was very nice. The bathroom was very large and the shower is nice. There is a really cool restaurant in the hotel, which we didn't visit by walked by and the menu looks good. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are a great size. I would stay here again when I visit Frederick in the future.

United StatesOur room was on the 1st floor below the restaurant, so we could constantly hear stomping. Could hear anyone that walked by our window outside or in the hallway. I was on the site when it was under construction & it had basically been gutted, so I’m not sure why more insulation wasn’t added to help with sound. The door to the bathroom was a barn door that kept rolling open & left a large gap even when closed. The bed was decent for comfortability. I felt it was a little overpriced to pay almost $400 for a night, based on what you get.
The location is perfect! The art & history of the building was cool. The hotel looks very nice, well done!

United StatesOnly thing I wasn’t a fan of was the lack of plugs near the desk. Made it hard to do my hair when others were in the bathroom. The worlds smallest issue. Honestly, the place is fantastic. Highly suggest.
Excellent location. Short walk to everything in town. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very modern. Perfect for four girls needing plenty of room to do makeup lol. Highlight was the front desk Monterra was so kind and helpful. She gave us great restaurant suggestions. Very personable. If she’s at the front desk, your check in will run as smooth as silk. Got a small peek in the ballroom. Perfect for someone who was a rustic or bohemian wedding. Excellent venue. 10 out of 10. You know this girl is gonna be back when I’m in town.
