Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesOur deluxe unit included two bedrooms, a queen suite, and twin beds in second. The latter was my room. It was fine, but the twin beds could use better supporting mattresses. I am average height and build for a sixty-five year old woman. Then, besides not knowing in advance that we were responsible for purchasing paper products (TP & paper towels) for our unit, and that Booking.com is not the best way to book this venue, (they and administrators of the Villas do not communicate well) it was very confusing knowing which entity to call for best answers to our questions, and we had to many emails between them. Still, I am glad we persevered. The worst part of our visit was having bad weather, and so it goes with vacations. We checked the weather forecast before leaving on our EIGHT PLUS hour car trip, but when one needs reservations, one plans accordingly. We were prepared, but it is sad when experiencing bad weather on vacation. We were blessed in many ways, though. On the third full day of our visit, we had rain throughout the end of our stay and planned around the rain. We managed to visit the GA Turtle Recue and Rehab Center before it rained, and it had ceased before we left. WONDERFUL PLACE! I would have loved to have stayed longer. A legend I heard someone say, or I may have read it, says something like, "ONES VISIT TO JEKYLL ISLAND WILL LEAD TO ANOTHER!"
The units are beautifully furnished. The location is good, and the view of the ocean is wonderful. The DRIFTWOOD BISTRO is within walking distance from our unit, and their food and drinks are EXCELLENT. The most difficult choices were figuring out what we would do next:) OTHER, excellent restaurants we visited were Zachry"s River House. We could not walk there, but it is fantastic, and TORTUGA JACKS creates authentic Mexican entrees. WOW!! Most of the island's restaurants have inside and outside dining. Personnel are friendly and helpful. One particular gentleman who works at the VILLAS BY THE SEA is named ERIC SEARCY. He was especially helpful to us. The villas have many units that, of course, they look alike, and since I drove my daughter and son-in-law around, I became turned around a couple of times, but because Eric's job keeps him touring the villas for maintenance duties, he also keeps his eyes open for displaced visitors. He was kind and most helpful.

United StatesHousekeeping failed to notice that pillow shams had blood stains. Advise cleaning or replacing ( Master)
The unit was beautiful and very clean. It was very quiet and peaceful. kitchen was well equipped, the furniture was comfortable. Loved the rocking chairs. We loved having 2 bathrooms and 2 outdoor sitting areas. Landscaping was wild and natural. Hearing the ocean was the best part. There is no true beach because of the erosion/hurricaine damage and the need to prevent further damage.
