Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNothing with this place specifically, it's what I expected an BnB in an old historical house to be. People who complain about how it looks or the minor wear and tears were expecting too much for a place that is meant to be older.. Bathroom worked, Bed was comfortable, I like my AC at 68 so that was a bummer that it only went down to 70 but it has a fan and I just slept with minimal clothing,
Breakfast was personally not my favorite as I am not a eggs person and that was their main ingredient for every dish, but they do ask you before about diet restrictions so that was my fault. Location is amazing, walkable to almost anything, I enjoyed walking places for a change.

United StatesParking is a little far from the property. It rained a lot when we stayed and the streets were flooded (a town issue), but because the parking was far, it became even further as we had to detour from the flooded area to get to the hotel.
Our room was small (tiny, actually, but we were told about it) but nice and lovely decorated. Breakfast was good but limited; formal victorian setting.

United StatesThe parking was not on site and we happened to park just as it was raining. Could not get beck to the property because that section all the roads were almost a foot or more of water. Ughhhh. Both mornings my husband’s breakfast included things he could not eat despite the inn keeper making a note of his dietary restrictions. He was still able to eat a lot and it certainly didn’t ruin our time.
The location was in old town and was convenient to many great restaurants and sights. The home was beautiful, nicely maintained and decorated. The staff and food were excellent and there was always coffee, cookies and ice available. The ac worked great and made sleeping comfortable.

United StatesThe bed was a little short for my 6’2” husband but other than that we definitely couldn’t complain about our stay.
The breakfast was divine and the location was perfect for getting around St. Augustine. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Very attentive. My husband had mentioned some food preferences when asked after booking which we didn’t think much of until our breakfast on the second day was tailor made for me so I could enjoy it without having to pick out what I didn’t like. That little attention to detail made the visit for us. We also had to check in late and they accommodated us no problem. Made the check in super easy.

United StatesParking was difficult, including bag drop off. Rooms small, but both of these are to be expected staying in a historic home in the middle of a very old city.

United StatesThere was nothing that I didn’t like. Everything was good.
The property is well kept with a beautiful Victorian charm. It was walking distance to all of downtown St Augustine . The bed was super comfortable and the patio was awesome to sit to have coffee/water or wine. Also the breakfast was SUPER amazing.

AustraliaThere wasn't much interaction with other guests when we stayed, even at breakfast time.
The savoury part of the breakfast was delicious but I think fresh fruit and possibly yoghurt should be offered. It is almost impossible to buy fresh fruit in St Augustine unless you have a car. Having coffee, cookies and a wine was a special bonus.

CanadaCan’t beat the location. Great value for money. Easy drive to the beaches/state parks if you want to spend time at the beach. We wanted to park and walk around the historic district (our first time visiting) and this was a perfect choice. Excellent dinner/drink choices nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful helping us check-in, and parking the car nearby. Lovely, unique thoughtful breakfast. Delicious cookies! Complimentary wine was a lovely surprise. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch at night with a glass of wine. Very peaceful with minimal noise, and if any, just people walking by enjoying the evening. Wished we could have stayed longer and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
