Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe amenities could use an upgrade. We only had 2 kerig coffee pods for 2 people. The place had no stove but it did have a gas grill. Asked the caretaker for a frying pan but he never responded. I texted and called but no response. Overall I would recommend to stay as long as you bring your own supplies.
The property was clean and very comfortable bed. The space was well organized and was very quiet and enjoyable. Had Avery nice front deck to sit and have coffee.

United StatesNothing this was a great location. Just a note if you get the upper cabin it is a hall if you have luggage, suitcase, cooler and more. Spotlights are bright and shine right in your eyes when you get there. Not near much but I didn't want it to be.
Incredible location with an amazing property. The cabin was beautiful and the setting was amazing. What a great value and beautiful location. I will be back for a longer stay. Can recommend highly enough

United StatesThe walk up hill on the gravel path was a bit steep. I am in shape and it took three trips up and down for me to bring my belongings. So be prepared. It would help to have a place to back up your vehicle if the other cabin has more than one vehicle.
Comfortable and quiet. Easy access and beautiful surroundings.

United StatesThe showerhead could be better. Since the shower stall is so small, the water hit me in the face or on my head because it sends water everywhere. A simple showerhead that could be adjusted would be helpful. Also - the heater stove was wonderful but smelled some.
There was no breakfast. I injoyed the peace and the courteous check-in. The cabin had everything I needed.

United StatesThe main bed was very soft. The path to the bear cabin from the parking was a little strenuous for someone with disabilities. If we had gotten the cabin further up I don’t know that we would’ve been able to stay. This isn’t the property’s fault considering terrain but better advertising in the future might help.
Quiet natural setting. Very friendly staff. Had everything we needed for our trip. The futon couch was extremely comfortable. Plenty of trout in the creek if you bring a pole. They have some nice walking trails on the property and plenty to go see in the surrounding mountains.

United StatesWe loved everything. You could provide alittle more history on the property and information on where its okay to walk around once on property. We loved walking around however I was always alittle cautious if we were actually allowed. It’s such a beautiful space.

United StatesSee above. The dog deposit info. located in the cabin instructions (on cabin premises) was different than the contract info (looks like it's been there for a while.) Total for the dog was 100$ plus tax for 2 nights. No cell service
A long steep walk to our cabin on gravel. The property has seen some erosion due to last September's rain event. The very steep driveway was full of loose gravel and hard to negotiate in wet conditions. We parked in the owner's driveway and climbed up to the unit with luggage and groceries, which was a trek. The steep steps to the unit were wet and had some moss on them...I tripped, no damage! Just to be fair, this area is heavily forested, and these are not unusual conditions for the area. Would have been nice to have these warnings.

United StatesStates it’s pet friendly but the surcharge is excessive. The Nut House cabin which we stayed in, is up a steep hill away from parking which made it a challenge. Anyone with a disability would not be able to access. The rain complicated things.
Pleasant cabin overall.
