Can get very hot in day and very cold at night in the tent… advise you bring some firefighters / proper gas click lighter to manage the fire if needed.

A great novelty to stay in a tent / cool camp like this. Greta fun with kids and a super base for visiting Mount Rushmore. The fire pits with smore kits were great, lovely food in the main tent and great views of the M Rushmore.

The wood burning stoves leak smoke into the tent. We heard smoke alarms going off in other tents throughout the night. We called for maintenance, but they were very busy so we cancelled the call, and bundled up when the temps dropped over night. Not a big deal for us, but we did not want to be jolted awake by an alarm so we "toughed it out". Minor feedback for an overall lovely stay.

We stayed in a star gazing tent, and it was awesome. The clouds cleared and we saw stars and satellites! The property is very cute with lots of hiking trails. Lots of activities offered like s'mores and music. The tent was clean and it was nice to have hot water to wash our hands and take showers. The bed was comfy. We had so much fun exploring and taking in the sights!

Can't think of anything other than it misted rain and we couldn't see Mt Rushmore light up, but we wouldn't change a thing.

We ate dinner at the restaurant, the food was very tasty and very fresh. The atmosphere of the entire place was very comforting, we were traveling for our 2 week family vacation, only wish we could have stayed longer, but it was the perfect place to be.

The hotel felt understaffed and we were often waiting for someone to appear to help us with check in, check out, ask about activities they offered or other things related to front desk. I felt the price was a bit high for what was offered.

We loved the location of this hotel, the gorgeous view of Mt Rushmore and the Black Hills from the terrace and the well appointed tents. We also really enjoyed eating at the hotel - good options, friendly service, nice outdoor seating and a range of board games to play while you wait. Great atmosphere. My kids loved that every night there were materials for s'mores to make at the various fire pits around the property.

The three little lanterns weren't quite enough light. There was a hole and a hornet nest above our bed, luckily it didn't rain and we didn't see any bees.

Our tent was literally right next to the entrance road, which was very noisy. We requested to move on second night and received a more remote location. Note to Under Cover: The rate for that "close to the road" tent should be slightly discounted and noted in the description so there are no surprises.

Great location just down the road from Rushmore. The fire pit and smores were a huge hit. The observation deck at night was magical and the security guard even brought out candy for the kids. The bed was super comfortable and the tent was clean and nice.

We loved the way the tents were nestled among the trees and on multiple levels of the terrain. Lovely deck to view Mount Rushmore. Great staff, lots of options for complimentary beverages - infused water, regular water, coffee, hot chocolate and several teas. Very peaceful and relaxing!

the zipper to the tent is a little noisy when you need to go use the community bathroom in the middle of the night, but this can be avoided by booking the tent with a bathroom inside

Not being campers, we were awakened in the night by the nocturnal wandering of a raccoon. But the staff and accommodations are top notch!

Location to Mt Rushmore and other sights. While we normally stay in a hotel, we tried something very different. The accommodations were clean and the food exceptional!
