CanadaCarpet had stains, chair had stains. Wear socks and never go bare feet. Area itself is South Bronx - the most sketchy neighbourhood in NY.
Pros: Cheap price Spotless private washroom Was Quiet/did not hear neighbours Clean linens/bed, comfortable pillows Had mini fridge and TV Had a view, albeit Bronx view Complementary toiletries New and good aircon Some good taco spots nearby Friendly staff There are two narratives here: one is - hotel is trying to survive in a place like Bronx. Clean washroom, beddings, amenities supports this. The other narrative is - it is a hotel that offers hourly renting, meaning - it's probably used for pr0stitution. Given its location, both can be true. It can't survive in a place like South Bronx without dealing with shady characters. Safe for brave solo budget traveller, but not suitable for family.

United StatesThe bed is advertised as a King sized and the staff said it was King sized as well. It's a queen. I'm 5 feet 11 inches. My lady is 5 feet. In a King sized bed I cannot reach her from the opposite side of the bed. On this bed I did. I was in room 405.
Plenty of places to shop and eat. Mini fridge also.

United StatesThe bed was not clean we found hair on sheets and underneath the fitted sheets. I took pics to show staff and they did change out everything including comforters. While there was a shower head it did not work as there was no switch on faucet to allow shower to work, so just for show??!! No toilet paper holder. No bolt on door so staff if wanted to come in we had nothing to stop them from entering. Light in bathroom not working correctly and were flashing as built into mirror. Only had an overhead light but not bright to reach mirror to put on makeup. Hotel does not provide an iron, ironing board or hangers and has no closet. Only an area to hang clothes but you need your own hangers.
It was close to the subway and some stores like 5 below, Marshall’s and Burlington. There were plenty of fast food options within 4 blocks like McDonalds and Chipotle. On 3rd Ave which is one street over there was a great deli/grocery we used for water and snacks. Owner and staff very friendly and prices reasonable. The room was good for 2 people, bed was comfortable, AC was good. There was a desk and chair with plenty of outlets and usb on both sides of the bed. 5th floor had ice maker next to our room. Our room was to have a fridge but when we got to our room no mini fridge. The staff did take care of that and moved one into our room. TV at least 50” and had Netflix, which was nice.
