How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing really. Chairs on the veranda a bit warm. But comfortable. No issues.
What a find! UK family travel through Pennsylvania and Virgina. Great to stay in an authentic older motel. Friendly owner/manager. Very clean. Well positioned in Front Royal for the Shenandoah National Park. Bonus of a pool. Excellent Value for money.

The facility is a bit dated but well maintained. There is traffic noise at times, but nothing a pair of ear plugs can’t handle.
I have stay here over a half dozen times over the years on motorcycle trips. It is excellent value for the money and is centrally located to restaurants. The owner is a very pleasant person and wants to make your stay an enjoyable experience. I plan to stay here again in the future.

Price and check out time. No wifi
The price should be slightly lower for the quality of the rooms. if not for the pool I would never pay so much. They should definitely lower the price during the week and they would get more of my business.

No overhead lighting in the room at all only lamps so was a darker room. The next door occupants were extremely loud so we were kept up for hours

My wife and I stayed here for a night following our trip up the Skyline Drive. Check in and out were a breeze and the room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the coffee maker in the room.

The room was a little cramped and needed another light by the mirror.
The Twilite Inn was what we needed, a clean place with comfortable beds. It is older and small, but it met our needs for a reasonable price.

Getting rid of the old chairs and ash trays outside the rooms on the sidewalk would go a long way to making the place look as clean outside as our room was inside.
One of the cleanest rooms we had on our recent road trip. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The facility is old, but appears well kept. Mattresses were comfortable.

Unfortunately, before our arrival, a storm came through and there was no hot water because their hot water heater broke. They did offer us a discount or free cancellation; however, I wish they had sent me a quick email in advance before we got there. They were in contact with someone to repair it, but the repairmen weren't able to get there before the end of our stay. Other than that the place was great!
The location of the motel was great, very close to the northern entrance to Shenandoah. The staff was very friendly and cared about the motel. They did offer us a discount or free cancellation due to their hot water heater breaking because of a recent storm. The room was very clean and good-sized.

I like a soft bed (stomach sleeper) but these were a bit too firm for me. However, if you like a firmer mattress you'll be happy

The drain was a little slow in the shower.

A little close to the road but traffic dies down after 6 and does not pick up again until 8 am the following morning.
Excellent stay: clean & well-organized room, friendly owners, exactly as expected. Strongly recommended & I would certainly stay here again when next in town.

The room and the beds were quite small. And, through no fault of the owners, whoever had checked in the room next to us decided to sit outside their door from 12:30-2:30 a.m. and sing quite loudly. There are a lot worse things that could've been happening than singing, but it did wake us up for the duration of the concert.
This motel was the cleanest one I've stayed in! I didn't even see dust anywhere! The bed sheets and pillowcase smelled soooo good. I think everything was bleached, but it didn't smell like disinfectant, just fresh and clean.
