Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

the people on front desk in the morning shift would not acknowledge us, they were too busy on their personal cell phones, no smiles when they finally address us, not friendly or professional

Great location if you have an early flight from PDX. You can reserve a seat on the airport shuttle at a specific time.

Room was a bit cramped with us coming off a 2+ week trip and breakfast could have contained more variety, esp. fresh fruit. Also our parking was validated when I checked in, but when trying to leave the next morning, the scanning machine kept demanding payment. We had to go back to the front desk three times to get out of the lot.
The room was clean and staff were very friendly.

Poor/Deceptive Communication - Hotel info (on the TV) stated breakfast ended at 10:00, however, it was over when we arrived at 9:40. Reception told us it ended at 9:00 am per the manager’s instruction. An earlier breakfast time would have been fine had reception informed us at check-in. Fortunately, the hotel staff was kind enough to provide us with a few items to eat.
Room was basic, but modern and very clean. Shuttle service (after midnight airport pick- up) was easy. The main hotel number has an option to contact the shuttle service directly to arrange pick-up. Return trip to airport was scheduled at check-in.

Our key to the room did not work and we got locked out of our room for three hours. Thankfully, maintenance came to open the door. The staff gave us a new room after they got our other one open which we appreciated!
This was a great place to stay to make it to our morning flight. The staff was very kind!

Wanted more “tv” choices. Maybe they were available but I couldn’t figure it out.

The elevator on the left wasn't working. When you called for the elevator though the left one would arrive but then wouldn't go anywhere when you pushed the buttons. You had to hope that when you called for the elevator the right one would arrive so you could go up to your floor. The desk clerk told us this. Other guests were just walking up the stairs. As we're in our sixties and had luggage we couldn't climb the stairs with our luggage so it was a bit tricky getting to our room.

Our bathroom smelled slightly like vomit and the room was a bit small with minimal storage options.
Location was good but you have to pay for parking. I liked that we got bags of breakfast to go because we had an early flight so we left before breakfast was served.

While there is 24-hour coffee available in the lobby, it would be nice to have a coffee maker in the room.
The proximity to the airport is great and their 24-hour shuttle was essential due to the earliness of our departure. The breakfast was a good variety of hot and cold items. Our room was clean and comfortable. Even though it is close to the airport, we heard no plane noise during the night.

This only "met" my expectations because we've stayed here for several days before. Since our first visit was so great, this "met" that same standard! The staff is very, very friendly!

Wall and floors Paper thin
The amount of noise created from our upstairs neighbors was completely ridiculous. They arrived after midnight and pounded on the floor, draining water in the bathroom followed by pounding around again. I was sick with a cold and it woke me out of a dead sleep only to be Awake again for hours while they did whatever they needed to. Definitely needs some time of sound proofing. If for some reason. I stay again, I will ask for the very top floor. Front desk was very polite and helpful.

I wish there have been coffee and tea makings in the room.
It was very clean. The staff was consistently friendly, helpful and professional. I called for the airport shuttle and it arrived within minutes.
