The property is on the “seen better days” side of needed improvements. However, everything is in working order. For the price it is a nice “rustic” stay. A “deep cleaning” is needed.

Relaxing stay. Unit was large-full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and nice shaded porch. Pool was clean, breakfast included fresh fruit and homemade pastries. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable. 7 minute drive from Calistoga.

We stayed one night at this charming bed and breakfast in Calistoga (Apr 12–13) and had a lovely experience. Lani, the host, was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. She greeted us with stories and a generous spirit. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared with a jug of orange juice and milk, four muffins, and a selection of fresh fruits including strawberries, oranges, and grapes. We also appreciated the complimentary Chardonnay from Lani. The setup included one bed in the “living room” area and another in a separate bedroom. Cozy and convenient for a short stay.

Nothing, pictures were clear and up to date. Lani is lovely and helpful.

Breakfast was generous, fruit plate, juice, cereal and fresh pastries every morning. Beds are comfortable and it feels like an old school bed and breakfast. We did not use the pool but it was clean and inviting. Perfect for traveling for families.

Lani was a wonderfully welcoming host, and she baked amazing fresh pastries during my entire stay. I’ve been coming to Napa since the mid-‘70’s and staying here was a trip back in time to those days. I strongly dislike sterile, impersonal, cookie-cutter hotels, and Trailside was the exact opposite. The accommodations are comfortable, Chardonnay chilled, jacuzzi is right out the front door, and I had the entire 1 bedroom apartment to myself. I’ll definitely return the next time I’m in Napa!

It was fine, but if you’re expecting a modern space, with matching everything, this isn’t it! Wish there had been more protein for breakfast - eggs or sausage, which would usually be included in a bed and breakfast package.

Cozy and comfortable - an old farm house, with some odd corners and spaces, but perfect for our overnight. The bathroom was as small as it could be - more like an airplane lavatory, and the kitchen had an unusual double sink, at 90degrees from each other. Breakfast was light, with juice, muffins, cereal and a fruit plate, but arranged so we could eat at our leisure and in privacy.

Can't think of a thing, kind of wish we could've stayed a little longer to see a few more sights and jump in the on site pool since it was rather hot out.

We're not big breakfast eaters, but what was available and put out for was just what we needed. And things being refreshed each day was very nice.

The suite was very relaxed and like being at grandma’s house. The baked goods for breakfast were awesome. Hot tub very much enjoyed and also the pool. The Hostess was so friendly and honored our reservation even though she had family arriving for support ss her husband recently died.

Lovely place, lots of character, clean, nice grounds. The hostess Lani was very nice and left us with some delicious muffins, fruit platter, juice, and a bottle of white! Will certainly stay again when in the Northern Napa Valley!

Great little hideaway to get away from all the crazies.... Very quiet... Very "Homey"... Like being back at Grandma's house when I was a kid..... Fantastic homemade coffee cake and fruit plate awaits you!!!!!... Lani is a Hawaiian doll!!!!!.... Will be back!!!!!

Close to a noisy road.

Lovely rooms with large covered patios, nice pool and hot tub. Lani the host is very welcoming with a fruit tray and fresh baked banana bread or muffins for breakfast.
