It is loud! You can hear everything that the person next to you is saying. They do provide you with earplugs though, which is a nice touch. My meal at the dining room was not great and the menu is fairly limited.

Staying here is like staying in a piece of history. It’s not just a lodge, It’s a whole experience.

Lack of transportation options from the hotel to other cities around.

Very traditional and historic hotel. Very well located. Beautiful views. Restaurants are ok , not great. They could have more options in the menu. Rooms good and clean. Bathroom good, but small. Shower great. If you are skiing/snowboarding, then it is the perfect place to stay. Major complain - no taxis or ubers available there. So, if you dont have a car, you are pretty much stuck at the hotel.

The bed was a little soft, and the toilets sounded like an F-16 on takeoff.

The location was fantastic. Staff were very nice. Be prepared that the food is expensive ($34 for breakfast buffet per person). Overall the experience is great and it’s fun to stay in a unique place.

The same thing I like is the same thing that's not great for a hotel. This is a very old timber building made in the early days. You can expect the room to be small and with only very basic amenities. You can hear everything going on. The hotel signs say quite time is from 11pm but the pool parties will last a lot longer; take ear plugs.

This is a historic building with wrought iron everywhere, the timber is old. The details of the building and the fact that it's an all round ski lodge is amazing.

During our dinner, we clearly could see people that had went outside the walk path boundary. Unfortunately, they did this directly outside of the dining room window. So this had to be our during dinner view. In pointing this out to our waitress, she did not take charge to do anything about it.

    Nostalgia. Architecture.

There was a lot of staff training going on. Unfortunately, this resulted in long waits for food service at all our meals and in less than quality situations that appeared overlooked (burnt toast, cold food, coffee, etc.) for expensive items.

Setting, of course, is phenomenal. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Check-in was easy.

Happens to fall on one of the busiest weekends so it’s very crowded/ can get loud. We were given a small queen room near the pool stairs and our other party was on a separate floor.. bathroom had a drippy faucet

Lack of AC. To be fair, we should have noticed that when we were booking the property I guess. It didn’t help that temps were so much more above average than normal during our stay.
