Dewayne, Thank you for staying with us. I’m sorry to hear the loft wasn’t quite what you were hoping for, and it appears you had several concerns during your stay. If the cleanliness missed the mark, we truly wish you would have let a staff member know right away so we could have taken care of it for you. Please know that all rooms are checked daily after cleaning to ensure they meet our standards. I also wish we had known right after check-in, as we could have looked into another room option for you. Many guests enjoy the loft for its private, quiet atmosphere, separate from the rest of the lodge, and your room also included a kitchenette, which is not standard in all accommodations. Cynthia, Thank you for your thoughtful review! We are so glad you enjoyed the full kitchen, the fire pit, and our close proximity to the hot springs. The bedrooms in that apartment are located on the ground floor, so windows are not possible, but we do our best to keep the space bright and comfortable. As for the walk, it’s about 10 minutes into town — a nice way to enjoy the views of Ouray along the way. We really appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back again soon! We do have quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am, and I truly wish you had found a member of our staff so we could have stepped in to help and made your stay more comfortable. Thank you for your feedback! We are so glad you enjoyed the s’mores by the firepit. Because we share our beautiful surroundings with wildlife (including the occasional curious bear!), we cannot keep trash cans outside. The one in the lobby is for smaller items, and any larger trash can always be brought to the front desk—we’re happy to take it to our locked dumpster for you. Hi Nancy! Thank you for choosing Timber Ridge Lodge. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed our lovely evening fire and s'mores cuddled up in a blanket under the stars! I'm not sure why you did not consult the location map of our space before making your reservation. There truly should be no surprises. For perspective, I'd like to detail that the Ouray Visitor Center and Hot Springs are .3 miles south of the lodge via the Riverwalk Trail behind the lodge. The Ouray Grocery which is centrally located in the little village of Ouray, is .8 miles from the lodge. Additionally, if you like to walk and explore, you can go north on the Riverwalk Trail and enjoy a gorgeous 2-mile loop. We wish you safe and fulfilling travels! All the best, Julie

July is Ouray's most expensive month—rates spike ~24–39% above offseason averages. Special dates drive up pricing at all local accommodations. Even so, we strive to remain one of the most budget-friendly options. Looking for the best value? Book early—rates tend to climb closer to key dates. Consider midweek or shoulder-season stays for more affordable pricing. We genuinely appreciate your insight and hope this comparison helps clarify that our pricing is not only reasonable but also among the best deals in town.
