Phenomenal property with plenty of old school charm and new decor. Property manager JR could not possibly have been more accommodating. He not only maintains the property, but was integral in helping us plan our night out of dining and drinks

Honestly where do I begin....this stay was fantastic. beyond exceeded my expectations. John was so kind to let us check in earlier to accommodate the event we drove up see. which already ment a great deal to us. Then there was the sleek modern decor and beautiful amenities. John was incredibly personable and friendly and made us feel very welcomed. what really made it so special was how incredibly sweet and thoughtful it is to provide so many necessities for his guests. I mean there was everything you could think of. Shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, q tips, make up wipes, sunscreen, sanitary pads and tampons, spray deodorant....the selection was incredible. If I ever make my way up to NC again, I will be staying here!

It might seem a bit pricey at first but, honestly, you get what you pay for.

Absolutely gorgeous place! You can tell the owner is an architect. He checked me in, explained the history of the building and shared some amazing Raleigh insider tips. I cannot stress enough how pretty everything is. I felt bad I only spent one night at The Store. It's pristine clean, comfortable, and cozy. Walking distance to Raleigh's main attractions and the train station. I hope I'm back someday.

Everything was fantastic. John went above and beyond. He has thought of everything. We have travelled the world but have not come across an accommodation that provides so many thoughtful things. A home away from home. Super comfy bed, huge bathroom, a shower we could have a party in. Thanks again John. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. 🙏🙏🙏😊

What a beautiful place to stay, in an ideal situation a short walk from downtown Raleigh. The owner John is great, full of information about the area and ideas for places to visit and eat. We enjoyed our breakfast at Boulted Bread, as recommended by John. The place itself has everything that you could possibly want...and more! Excellent.

This architecturally unique guesthouse is beautifully designed, with rare attention to detail. My king suite was comfortable, welcoming and lovely. The use of color, the artwork, even the music playing in the public space, serve to create a sense of special. Not to mention the thoughtful array of toiletries and snacks. John, the owner, is a fine host and a fount of information about local restaurants and sights.

This small boutique property has been lovingly built by the owner to offer a very unique, comfortable and welcoming accomodation option close to downtown Raleigh. It was a haven for a night in a busy schedule and John was so helpful and friendly, providing exceptional advice on restaurants and coffee shops in the gorgeous historical neighbourhood.

Everything was very clean, John the host is super friendly and happy to give recommendations for everything. The house is beautiful and so stylish! The bed was comfortable the room very large and from phone chargers to different bathroom products everything was provided. It is a short walk to all the restaurants and pubs and bars. Only down side is that you can't lock the room door from the outside. So we took all of our valuables with us whenever we went outside.

Only downfall was the bathroom not being attached to the room but with only 2 accommodations available, we didn’t have any unwanted run ins when crossing the hall. This was expected and were aware when we booked. Even with that said, we’d stay again in a heartbeat

John was an extremely accommodating host! He gave tons of recommendations and made the stay comfortable. The property itself is so lovely and inviting. We spent some time in the common area which was relaxing. 10/10 would stay again

Elegant and beautifully restored historic building with lovely modern architectural features inside. Well-appointed room. Comfortable bed and everything we could possibly need was available in the room and bath. The host was friendly, accommodating and quite accessible. he gave us lots of good tips for visiting the city. We felt quite pampered. highly recommended!
