Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIn my closet there was a large hole. It made the wall very thin between me and the next room. About 3:00 a.m. they woke me to very loud talking; I tried everything from getting up and opening and shutting the closet door so they might understand the wall was very thin... turned on the t.v. to cover them up.... turned on the a.c. to cover them up, turned on my phone to a program on Prime to cover them up.... nothing worked. I heard other people opening and shutting their doors but to no avail. They just kept talking very loudly. It wasn't like they were laughing and having a good time, which would be easier to overlook..... nope they were pontificating as though giving a lecture on how a nail works. No it wasn't a television. Finally about 4:30 they quieted down then started up for another 15 minutes or so then finally it went quiet.
The Restaurant was very very good. The staff though very busy was very friendly. The food was excellent.

United StatesWhen we have to stay in the Boston area, this is our “go to” place. The hotel is located very close to Logan Airport. Taxi service is handy and economical. The hotel is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is “home town friendly “, and the restaurant is exceptional! Enjoyed being able to cross the street, go down a flight of stairs, and have a walk on the beach!

KuwaitAir conditioning system is very old, I couldn't sleep very well since the vioce of machine so high & not cold enough. The bed was so high, I couldn't get in easily, I took a chair to climb to the bed. I think is not worth the money which I paid for the stay.
Room is very clean. The location is very good & very quiet. The food is nice at their restaurant. The staff are friendly. The decorations of hotel are traditional & antique. Some paintings in our room are so beautiful. I love it.

PortugalNot a big issue but just be aware there is no elevator. But the staff will assist you carrying your luggage up the stairs.
We chose this charming hotel on a Boston stopover because we had to wait for our evening flight the next day and wanted to be in a walkable area. The staff was very friendly and check in was easy. The room was perfectly clean and the bed was comfortable. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant because we weren't there at the dinner hour (we arrived late) but it looked quite nice. After check out we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and walk by the sea (wonderful!) and around town, grabbing a great breakfast at a local cafe the hotel recommended. Basically we were treated like extended family and were offered water or a soft drink from the bar while we later lounged in the waiting area. As we were waiting for the time to leave for the airport we got talking to a personable older gentleman... turns out he is the hotel owner's father. He then offered us a ride to the airport and wouldn't take a dime from us.

United StatesThe hotel was rather isolated in a cozy but upscale neighborhood. Other than the Hotel's restaurant there were virtually no other food/grocery selections nearby unless you chose to walk several blocks away. Additionally, the room should have blackout shades as the early morning sun flooded the East facing room waking us earlier than planned.
The room was comfortable, quiet, had a very clean bathroom, and the towels were of better quality than most hotels we've visited recently. Being near the waters' edge was definite plus. The Hotel’s restaurant food was excellent judging from what we ordered – the chicken tenders were probably the best I’ve ever had.

United StatesWe wanted to watch a football game Sat. night, but could not get an answer from email or anyone at the hotel as to whether it would be possible. Luckily, we were able to see the game in the bar. They set us up with a table near a tv that evening. Everything worked out, but we didn’t know until late in the afternoon. That was disappointing.
Our room was perfect with everything we needed; the ambience of the hotel was wonderful. The restaurant was excellent. Everyone was cordial. We met the owner, Casey & his dad, Doc. This made our experience more personal.

SwedenA bit awkward with no staff in the hotel before at least 10am, and no breakfast. But worked very well and easy anyway, you have a key, come and go as you please. Breakfast at nice places close or walk a mile for more choices. The Wifi was weak, tv did'nt work that great.
