There wasn’t a thing we didn’t like

Our first thought on the property was that it was very secluded and private, which we loved. We absolutely loved our little porch and the room was so clean and so cozy it was absolutely perfect for us!

This property is wonderfully located. You can walk to the beach, to the downtown area, and there is a nearby shuttle stop for the free trolley. Room was spacious and clean; great shower! The salt water pool was clean, great temperature and lovely place to relax. Anderson at the front desk is a gem - so pleasant, helpful, eager to assist. I highly recommend!

parking was tricky so we just parked once and took trolley everywhere. No iron in room but we did have a hair dryer. :)

easy access to Laguna Trolley. Very friendly and Helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Plenty of extra towels and wash cloths. Nice dishes and glasses and coffee with cream. Reading material available. We didn't stay long enough to enjoy the nice pool. Front porch with adirondack chairs was adorable. Very Nice landscaping provided privacy from PCH.

Air conditioning unit had an annoying intermittent rattle.

So convenient to restaurants, coffee shops and a grocery store all within walking distance. Plus the gorgeous beach just a block away! Property is very well taken care of, nice employees, peekaboo view of the ocean from the 2nd floor. Easy parking once you find the driveway. Clean and a very comfortable bed. Felt safe.

We love the location of the property, which is right in the middle of Laguna Beach. We were welcomed immediately upon arrival, even though we were early. Our rooms were ready and spotlessly clean. We especially enjoyed the grill and fireplace areas at the pool.

My only minor comment is that the shower was a little small, might be tough if you are tall. Water pressure was good though!

Clean; friendly and helpful staff. Our room had an ocean view, balcony with two chairs, and kitchenette. The kitchenette was larger than I expected and well-stocked with utensils, plates, glasses, coffee maker, and a full-size fridge. There was a big closet and plenty of hangers. The beds were comfy. The room was stocked with extra bath towels. Convenient location - walking distance to the beach. Ask for beach towels, chairs, and umbrella! Parking is on-site and included. A 4-min walk to Endless Quest coffee, Grazie Grazie pizza, and Pavilions grocery store. 12-ish minute walk to the main part of town. I didn't end up using the pool but it looked really clean. All of their rooms are different so I would go to their site to see which rooms are available. I would stay here again!

We love this hotel. It's very well managed and has a very caring staff. Its location offers a very short walk into town or to the main beach. It also has a saltwater pool, which we routinely took advantage of.

The mattress was a little hard, the pillows a little soft. Loved the photos and art work - but there is one in the bathroom that was damaged and crooked - needs to be replaced or updated. But you can tell the hotel is very well cared for and everything is put together thoughtfully.

Great location - not too loud but close to the beach and the wellness center. Loved the outdoor sitting areas.

Our room didn’t have windows that were eye level. The widows were all at a higher level.

The location was pretty good and The Tides is pet friendly. A plus for us. Our room was also equipped with a kitchen, which was nice for keeping soft drinks, water and snacks.

Quaint little hotel located on Coast Highway. Conveniently located to downtown. Close to Trolleys and bus lines. Short walk to the beach. Staff was awesome - friendly and helpful

It wasn't a problem for us because we did not bring a car and planned to walk everywhere, but the parking lot is small and would have been a challenge if we had arrived in our suburban. There is a guest book in the room and someone mentioned coming back late at night and not being able to find a place in the lot to park. My recommendation, unless you are traveling on a road trip, would be to leave the car at home and don't rent one if you can manage it.

We loved the retro vibe of the Tides. The place very warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was walkable to everywhere we wanted to go. It's an older hotel but very clean and comfortable. We didn't use it, but there is a nice pool area with a fireplace, comfy seating for a group, pool toys for families, etc.
