Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe only critique I have is the menu options for rooms service are a little limited. It should have something for everyone, but I'll be honest and say I was hoping it would be a little more comprehensive. Another tiny quirk is the elevator system, which although extremely secure, the screens to call the elevator tend to freeze when one is called, and therefore you have to wait a minute before you can select where you want to go. This might be a feature and not a bug though. One last thing was the limited options as far as TV goes. It was really only cable, Netflix or YouTube. The function that allows you to use the TV to Bluetooth music was also disabled, but I understand why that is. Really, none of it really took away from the experience.
Everything was modern and extremely clean. The furniture was comfy, and the view, amazing. The staff were extremely kind and professional. I was given tea at check in, and it was great. The main reason I decided this specific hotel was for the deep soaking bathtub. I've stayed at a few places with tubs, and they are nothing compared to the one we had in our room. It was modern, spotless clean, and the flow rate on the faucet was perfect. Allowing you fill it very quickly. I had the best steak I've ever had from Quiora, one of the restaurants on the property. I was able to make a reservation about an hour before on my phone, which was extremely convenient. As was everything at the hotel. Extremely convenient. I'd definitely love to stay here again.

Fantastic property! Felt very private for the size of it. There was issues with the WIFI that took a few days to resolve which was frustrating but otherwise fantastic

Round the corner from the main shopping street so it’s away from the crowds. Great location and wonderful room with a view of the ocean. I decided against a hotel on the beach, which cost a lot for a basic room, and for a little bit more money got a big suite with a massive bathroom and SO many amenities. Service was superb too. Bonus: International House of Pancakes (iHop) is just a walk away. Delicious pancakes that we still talk about at home

United StatesPrices of breakfast - insanely high.
The property is not on the beach (thank heavens) but on the edge of the hot area of Waikiki - you can easily walk to any restaurant in Waikiki, walk to the beach (ten minutes). Our room was fabulous - large, beautiful view from the balcony, terrific pool open 24/7 and jacuzzi. Valet parking is $55 a day, but the valets are super helpful and kind - and give you lots of tips of where to go. As do the concierges - Lorna, Jordan and Luis in particular. Yes, it’s a Ritz-Carlton, but for us it was a home away from home. Super warm service, and a very high standard of facilities. We cannot wait to return.

Canada- the balcony needs to be cleaned periodically, chairs and table were very dusty, so we couldn’t eat outside as planned without taking the time to clean first
- Location was fantastic! Hotel was located at the more quiet part of Kalakua Ave. Walkable to restaurants, stores etc without the noise - great sound proofing, our room was nice and quiet despite having neighbors on both sides - we could see the Friday night fireworks from our balcony - love how there is built in filtered water for us by our sink!! They change their filters periodically as well - convenient island market downstairs and dean & deluca cafe -pool was clean and we love how there is a separate pool for kids and adults so it wasn’t as crowded. - the bellhops on the first floor was so kind & meticulous.

United StatesI know that Hawai’i is naturally humid but I think it adds to a small odor in the closet. The drawer inside the closet had a little bit of a musty smell and looked dated. The bottom drawer didn’t close all the way. I would recommend either update the drawer or place an odor neutralizer in the closet. The washer and dryer were very efficient. A small caveat about the dryer: it dried the heck out of clothes. If you have a fabric that’s heat sensitive or might shrink even with a little heat, you’re better off hang drying it or set up a timer so your clothes don’t over dry or shrink. The dryer would get extremely hot that it could burn your hands trying to collect your clothes out of the dryer. It was also very loud. Not a deal breaker at all😁 I also wished there was a jacuzzi in the family area. We have a very well behaved 10 year old who couldn’t spend time in the adult only jacuzzi area. In order for us to enjoy some jacuzzi time, my husband and I would have had to take turns to watch our young lady. Just a thought.
The Ritz lived up to its reputation! As soon as you pull into the property the valet staff was so welcoming and helpful. The reception was fast and efficient. The room was clean and well supplied with the basics. The place offers to clean and tidy up the rooms on the daily. The pool area and service were superb!!! Overall, the location was very ideal. It was not in an area that’s too crowded and loud, but a short walk to the beach, food, and shopping. If you’re a good walker , you might even walk to the Ala Moana mall!

CanadaWe stayed in a two bedroom suite facing the ocean and woke up to rainbows every morning! The hotel itself is in the best location in Waikiki and we appreciated proximity to all the luxury shops, restaurants and beaches. The D tower is close to a little market downstairs which was really helpful and Dean & Deluca provided some great caffeine fix. We also enjoyed the pool -- my 3 yr old niece made some very special memories learning to swim there. The property is sparkling clean, tastefully decorated and very secure with tons of helpful staff at the valet desk which was great for shopping/parking. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need, and while we ate out for the most part, it was really great to cook sometimes and do the laundry as we stayed over a week. The suite was very comfortable for our family of 4 adults and 1 kid, and the quality of service was exceptional throughout our stay. From the cleaning staff to bell men to front desk, every single hotel staff we encountered remained courteous, quick and kind. In particular the concierge team, Jordan and Aiko, went above and beyond their ways to make our stay so special for my sister's wedding and I am so grateful for all their help before, during and after our stay. My mom loved the view and ambience of La Vie restaurant for breakfasts and we enjoyed Friday fireworks twice during our stay, once from the Italian restaurant on site and also from our suite. It is as good as it gets in Waikiki when you have such a luxurious, calm and peaceful home base, especially for a family visit. I also stayed at Kahala resorts before my family arrived and still think that the Ritz was the best choice for the family to spend time together. As someone who spends more time at 5 star hotels than my own home, the quality of the staff and service really stood out for me for this property and I look forward to going back❤️🌈
