Parking was very expensive, but again, the staff is just great. I'm also disappointed that the shower doesn't have a rainfall shower head, and the water pressure didn't "blow me away". Not awful, but come on, this is a white-marble Ritz-Carlton bathroom! Turndown service was a bottle of water and 2 small pieces of chocolate. Lol, better than nothing.

The staff, everyone was thoughtful, professional and welcoming. The rooms are ok in size considering the other Ritz-Carltons globally. The gym and pool are absolutely breathtaking. The view on the high floors facing Mt Hood is incredible. The beddings are extremely comfortable.

These aren’t dealbreakers, but at this price point and brand level, they stood out more than they would elsewhere. • No breakfast included. I understand this is often the norm in high-end hotels, but it still felt like a downside when many cheaper properties offer great breakfasts as part of the stay. • Strangely, there weren’t enough towels in the room initially — we had to request more. They were delivered quickly, but it felt odd in a hotel of this level. • Despite specifically booking a room with a mountain view (both via Booking.com and through direct request), we were given a city view instead. That was disappointing. • Lastly, I was surprised there was no sauna available — a feature I had expected at a property like this. Each of these minor issues wouldn’t matter much on their own, but together they did reduce the experience slightly. Still, it was a superb stay overall — and very close to a perfect 10.

• The room was spacious, with a huge bathroom and elegant modern design throughout the building. • The staff were impeccably trained and professional — a real highlight of our stay. • I greatly appreciated the early check-in, which I had requested in advance and was honored without any issue. • There was also a thoughtful surprise in the room for my wife and daughter, which I had asked for — again, a big plus that my request was fulfilled. • We didn’t bring our own toothbrushes, and the hotel promptly provided them upon request. • Speaking of amenities: the quality of toiletries, toothbrushes, and other room supplies was exceptional — easily the best I’ve encountered in any U.S. hotel.

Parking fees are exorbitant. No separate shower

Hotel is relatively new. Loved the pool/hot tub/gym. Separate shower in bathrooms would have made it excellent. Overall, I would recommend the hotel except for the exorbitant parking fees.

The room service menu and the lobby needs a restaurant and bar which is open always or late. You can’t have a lobby without a boutique or a small restaurants for drinks or snacks

We could not rave about the Ritz-Carlton Portland Hotel more! From Valet pick up and transfer, check in, front desk Issac concierge offering Champagne upon arrival to the bellman service. Each member of staff delivered with care & excellence. The room was immaculate, bathroom was spacious and decorated in such a stunning way & we LOVED the large tub. We had the most amazing stay with a great night's sleep! Food was excellent. My only critique was that it was not clear that tip was already included on room service when I paid online so I tipped twice.
