The breakfast selection could be improved - most of the options were quite sweet and mostly carbs. Also, the price feels a bit high for what you get. Apart from the great location, there wasn’t much that really stood out to justify the cost.

Convenient location, beautiful environment, comfortable bed and parking available. All the necessary utilities provided

The room we had was very small, which would not have been a problem except that the dark platform bed frame was longer than the mattress, so it was easy to bruise shins on the hidden end of it - especially in the dark. Also, the minibar was badly overpriced. Better to not have one at all than to evoke a bad reaction from guests. Consider offering items at retail prices and have guests think it’s fair, or best: underprice and, for very little cost, make them feel at home and wanting to come back.

Fantastic location, clean, and with a good restaurant on the premises. Love the reading lights by the bed!

One of curtains was broken. I cannot keep it up.

The bed is very comfortable. Their rooms are for 2 people, so we needed to make a reservation for 2 rooms. It costs very expensive; however, the rooms are connected with double doors. That is very wonderful for my family,

The room we were in was small and difficult to move around in. For the price the included continental breakfast was just adequate and the staff did not stay on top of refreshing the offerings or bussing the tables.

Location -- one of very few options actually in Princeton and walking distance to the University. Bed and pillows were excellent Friendly staff Definitely an inn and not a hotel

How is the bar closed on a Monday at 6pm screwed up a business meeting Basic services at this price point should be every day. This location used to have a good bar and a good restaurant . This will cause me to go back to new hope riverhouse at Odette’s for business travel in the area. They have a bar and restaurant 7 days a week.

It would have been nice to have had a full breakfast option in the dining room rather than eat in the bar area. That said the buffet breakfast was very good.

We had chosen a room that was small. If we stayed again we would opt for a larger room.

The generous breakfast buffet was really wonderful. Also appreciated access to the local newspaper. While my husband had the use of a car, I relied on my feet to wander around town, so the Peacock Inn was in a perfect location.

The Peacock Inn was very convenient to the Princeton campus. We were able to valet park our car there at the Inn. The breakfast was very tasty and the dining room was very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and quite helpful. The stay was a little more expensive than what we typically budget, but since we were only staying one night, we splurged. We found the stay to be a nice treat.

At breakfast, there was nothing except bread and juice. we were told most of the food is gone by other guests and that is what we have to eat, just bread! They can’t even bring any other food such as croissant or cheese or any item for continental breakfast! That was at 9:00 and the breakfast should have been available until 10:00. Very misleading!

It was truly bad. When we arrived, the room that was assigned to us had many problems. The safe did not work. The bathroom had no hair dryer and many things were missing. The room was very hot and humid. You had to carry your luggage with no assistance offered. When we contacted the front desk, they came to our room and she was not able to solve any issue. They moved us to a bigger room on the third floor.we were told the we can’t control the AC!!

Admittedly, this was a difficult time -- a major heat wave. The hotel was having serious problems with the a/c. We were given two rooms. One had a/c that cooled the room to a bearable temperature; the other room was unbearable. For one thing, the a/c was off. However, even once we turned it on it didn't work. We went down to the front desk, they told us that they were hopeful that the a/c would be working across the whole hotel by evening. When we came back in the evening, the a/c was still not working. We asked for another room. The front desk attendant said they were 100% booked. We asked for a fan. They said they had none; that they had looked the day before. I asked if they had sent someone out to buy some. They said no. So I went an bought one. It helped a little but not much. My colleague took the cool room. About 11pm I went down and asked again. The same attendant said they were full, but the restaurant manager (?) said to them "are you sure?" He replied "well we have one room, but I don't think it's in the same booking class." The restaurant person asked -- is the a/c working? The front desk attendant replied "yes." The restaurant person said -- don't you think you should give it to him. The front desk attendant replied, "oh". I guess! Okay, so they comped us the rooms. But really, this was so amateurish. Add to that the fact that the daytime front desk manager (not the very nice, but very new -- 3rd day -- worker) was completely unfriendly. That he stood on the stoop and watched my 80 year old colleague struggle to carry his suitcase in from the car. That the breakfast was barebones, that there were no snacks at the bar (except pickled vegetables). That the dinner was mediocre. This is not the Peacock I remember from 40 years ago -- last time I stayed or ate there.

The rooms are very attractive. The location is great. The bar is attractive and well stocked. Some of the staff were kind and helpful.

Staff was either overbearing or acting like they had just huffed something. The room was unbearably hot and uncomfortable even when we set the temp to 67. The walls were paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. The minibar ranged from mildly overpriced to insanely overpriced. Breakfast coffee was lukewarm (and so was the milk). There was only one trash can in the entire room. We were told the bar was open until 10:30 but when we came down at 9:30 the lady told us it was closed...then passive-aggressively went and got the bartender to make us a drink anyway. We didn't demand it -- she just did it. So like, that was cool, but also why bother if you're gonna be rude about it? Parking is obnoxious so you have to use a valet...who happened to be the nicest person to deal with other than the man who checked us in who was also good. These other reviews are waaay too generous - just stay at the Nassau. It's not great either but it's usually a fraction of the price, plus it's closer to Princeton and parking is still free. Oh yeah...and we couldn't find a "do not disturb" tag.

The bathroom was sizable, the shower was great, and the heated bathroom floor was cool. That's about it.
