Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesBed and mattress were absolutely horrible! 2 showers and 1 toilet for men for the entire floor. But somehow never really busy.
Location is perfect. A few minutes walk from subway, Chinatown and Little Italy. You have your own little room which is nice. Good place for a few nights

TurkeyThe "rooms" could be a bit bigger at least to allow space to open a suitcase. For female bathrooms, there can be more than one hairdryer. Also the showers were really small, it was hard to fit in.
The location was really good and good rate compared to other places in Soho. It was good to have a locked door for each bed unlike the usual hostel layout. Staff were friendly, being able to leave the luggage after the checkout helped.

United KingdomThe space was very small, I couldn't even open my suitcase in the room, so I had to open it in the corridor. However, it is a hostel, not a hotel and you do get your own room. The open ceiling meant that you could hear people walking through the corridors and opening and closing their doors at night. The air con was quite cold, especially when all that was provided was a thin sheet.
Definitely the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in. The place was beautifully decorated, especially the communal areas and the bathrooms. It felt very luxurious. The staff were lovely and helpful. The areas were very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

ItalyThe "rooms" are basically just a very simple bed with an iron frame — like a military bunk with a slab of foam instead of a proper mattress. Not very comfortable, to say the least. Each bed is enclosed by wooden walls that separate the adjacent cabins, but the ceiling is open, so you're constantly disturbed by other guests' noises. The signs everywhere threatening a $100 fine for noise make no difference: people talk, answer their phones, snore, have a shower forgetting the phone in room with alarm clock ON, and slam doors. It's therefore hard to sleep well — and I am someone who normally sleeps extremely deeply... Each bed-unit has very little free space to put a suitcase, barely more than one square meter. There are no properly sized shelves and far too few hooks. On the floor there are more than 30 of these "rooms", all lined up like cells in a beehive. For that number of guests the floor provides 1 toilet, 2 sinks and 2 showers — clearly insufficient. In the showers and the sink you cannot regulate the water temperature, which alternates unpredictably between polar-cold and scalding hot. The common area also has very few power outlets, which is inconvenient when you need to charge a laptop or smartphone.
On the plus side: the property is in a very trendy, pleasant neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and small bars, and it’s close to the subway and a supermarket. By New York City standards it offers "cabins" at good prices — I paid EUR 82 per night in August. The common area is small but cozy and well furnished. All areas have good air conditioning. Guests have complete freedom to choose their check‑in and check‑out times.

IndiaI think because of limited space these premises don't have a lift but they can add an escalator instead of that, It might be helpful to get more business and convenient for guests.

United KingdomNothing is luxurious, but nothing is horrible. Not a hotel experience, but a hostel with elevated privacy!
Its an affordable option, you’re not in a luxury hotel but for what it is I feel like you get value for your money. The pictures are a true representation of what to expect. Location is great. Its somewhere between a hostel and a private room: its much better and more peaceful & private than just sharing a room with bunk beds with strangers, but not quite a private hotel room as the ceilings are open and you hear other peoples alarms etc., however people were respectful of each other and I had no trouble sleeping. Bit of a random experience, but ahead of my stay the room layout did make me think about fire safety, just a thought that crossed my mind. Lo and behold, on my first morning I wake up to a 6AM fire alarm (later found out another guest had accidentally set a small fire) and I can now attest that the fire alarms and evacuation all worked rapidly and effectively in case you are a bit paranoid about these things like me. The fire brigade was outside in less than 2 minutes and the staff dealt with the situation extremely well even though in the end there was no danger. Slept well the second night!

ItalyIf you are a light sleeper, you will have a hard time to fall asleep as you can hear everyone coming in and out of the cabins. Still, I found it was fine for a night, and I will come back for short stays.
