Attention to maintenance - a tap was not working properly, room-key batteries failed twice in a short stay, airconditioner control did not work. Not a single bottle of water is complimentary.Not even one litre of water, which I consumed unknowingly!

Old-world charm. Good location, close to train and bus stops/ station and shops like Trader Joe's & Whole Foods Market. Big, well-appointed room, although without any view.

The AC vent above the work table in my room was dripping one evening, possibly due to condensation. This was not a huge issue, but it did make me nervous to leave my laptop on the desk.

Melrose Georgetown is an attractive hotel. The restaurant and the bar (which are separate from one another) are located on the main floor. There are several very nice lounging areas with comfortable seating and tables to have a drink and a chat with friends. There is a large gym downstairs with varied equipment, however I never actually used the gym due to a tight schedule. The rooms are comfortable and include chairs and a table, as well as a work area.

The staff are very helpful and kind, there was slight issue with the TV connection (main connection fault) the staff has resolved it by moving us to a different room. The location is good, rooms are big,clean and comfortable. Love their molton brown toiletries. Near to metro station and bus stop next to the hotel. The distance stated of places of interest shown on the app are quite accurate. I will definitely stay here again. 😊

Our family had ordered champagne and fruit for our room and the empty bottle, etc was not removed when they cleaned our room

There was no housekeeping throughout our stay but should we have needed anything, we could have contacted reception.

Very spacious rooms which were clean and well-equipped. Lovely touch of tea and coffee in the foyer in the morning. Good location and nice that it’s so closely connected with Georgetown.

Although we could have requested more cleaning services (change of towels), their standard service was not a daily one. For the price/class of hotel I would have expected daily cleaning.

Free coffee in the reception area was great. The staff were lovely.

I understand these older hotels are difficult to keep cool, particularly when it is so hot and humid outside, but a more powerful air conditioner would have been nice. Would recommend every room come with a box fan.

Friendly staff, spacious lobby, convenient fitness center (with a particularly nice water refill station), nice room accommodations, and really enjoyed the complementary coffee in the mornings

Cleaning service is provided once every three days if not explicitly requested. Ok, one can live with it but I am a bit afraid that this looks like the luggage on flights situation. And it's not that it's a cheap hotel.

Lobby is very modern and chic, but the room itself gets a mixed review. Our 6th Floor Suite was spacious, but the toilet had some weird rust stain in the toilet bowl, and the tub looked a bit stained. The couch and pillows were dusty. The carpet looked really outdated. And one TV was a Smart TV while the other one was standard Dish? While this hotel is not on the 'Haunted DC Hotels' list, I had an uncomfortable sense of being "watched" while in the room and the hair on the back of my neck went up a lot. Also, a loud clanging noise woke me up at like 3 am. but no voices or other noise. There's no record of the Melrose being haunted, so these weird occurrences were surprising. Overall, it was a lovely stay, but if the hotel is a 4, rooms were more like 3-3.5.

No towel racks in the bathroom, two or three bare walls where they could’ve been. This was very annoying because we had to hang our towels on the chairs or on hangers in the closet.
