Steve was an amazing host! We arrived a bit early on the ferry and our room was ready, which was great. The room was very comfortable and cozy. It was unusually hot, so he put an A/C unit in our room before we returned. So nice! He was an amazing cook and I looked forward to breakfast each morning (and cookies in the afternoon!). It is a little bit of an uphill walk with a suitcase from the ferry, but very walkable in Friday Harbor. He even gave us a ride to the ferry when we left. Would definitely recommend!

Leaving - wish we had a few more nights to explore the island

- Beautiful house, large rooms with plenty of amenities - Breakfast was top notch - Host was amazing, went above and beyond to be accommodating due to our unfortunate travel delay Location: easy walk to downtown Friday Harbor, far enough removed from noise and crowds. Perfect spot. Guitar lovers can leave their guitar at home as there is a wonderful 1970s acoustic in the living room that anyone can use.

I wished the owners sold their fabulous granola. I suggested this idea to Steve and he said he'd look into it.

Steve offered to pick me up from Friday Harbor airport and arrived within a few minutes of my call. Upon learning that I relied upon nondairy milk as my calcium source, he offered to buy me some to keep in my room fridge. He and Renee made delicious breakfasts that accommodated my dietary needs. I especially loved the fruit parfait topped with their award-winning, homemade granola. The bed was super comfortable and I slept so soundly every night. The B&B is in a quiet location, but in very easy walking distance to the harbor and its myriad of fun things to do. For example, Steve recommended that I go whale watching with Maya's, which was a grand experience.

That booking.com adds an option to have breakfast for an extra $0.10. That is not correct and has been communicated to booking.com by the owners.

The cottage is very beautiful. It is a great option for small families near town. They have vases there so I would recommend bringing some flowers from Pikes' Market.

The bathtub in the living space

The location was great, the breakfasts and afternoon treats were a bonus, the bathtub in the living space was a little strange and unused…I think that space could have been put to better use.

Steve and Jenna were great. it was wonderful of Steve to get up early to provide us with a substantial (and tasty) breakfast to-go when we had an early ferry on departure day.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The host was very accommodating with a late check out. We appreciated the ride from the airport and back to the harbor.

Steve and Renee where great hosts and the breakfasts were something to look forward to every morning. Coffee at the door a 7am was a treat as well. The history of the house was very interesting. A short walk into town keeps you from having to find parking. I could not recommend staying at the Kirk House any higher and would not even look anywhere else next time we are in Friday Harbor. Thank you for making our first trip to the San Juan's special!
