Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe only feedback we have is about how steep the driveway was. Each time we tried to park in the private lot, our car (which is just a regular sedan) scraped on the bottom. We opted to park on the street because of this, which was never a problem because there was always ample parking and the area felt safe, but it would have been nice to use the lot when loading our vehicle. Although, this would not deter us from coming back.
We appreciated the ease of communication via text with the staff about breakfast, hors d'oeuvres, housekeeping, etc. We also appreciated having the option to enjoy our breakfast in the comfort of our cottage. Everything was clean, well-stocked, and welcoming. We were given clear instructions on how everything worked and felt very at home. We loved how conveniently located the house was from many attractions like the bike path, aquarium, Cannery Row, Fisherman's Wharf, various restaurants, etc as we were able to walk to many of these locations. The house itself was beautiful and felt secluded, even with the sound of cars going by on the street, and the cottage provided the perfect amount of privacy.

United StatesWe enjoyed the entire experience!
The breakfast was superb. We loved both the savory and sweet breakfasts. There is great pride in the presentation as well. As for food, we had hors d'oeuvres on 2 afternoons including wine. This was almost a meal and really ruined our dinner appetite (a good thing!). This may be the best afternoon hors d'oeuvres we've had in this or any other country. Really! There was little about the facility that we did not like. The decor, the grounds, the spaciousness, the comfy sitting rooms were all wonderful! Our hosts were great to talk with. Rick afforded a great deal of time to help us with suggestions and talk about the area. He was a delightful host.

United StatesIf you have a problem with stairs or hills, this would not be the place for you. Other than those two issues this is an absolutely wonderful B&B.
We love everything about Jabberwock. It is ideally located for touring, Monterey, Pacific Grove, and Carmel. The facility itself is so magical, welcoming, quiet, and comfortable. Beautiful views of Monterey Bay and delicious creative breakfasts every morning. We love morning walks through the neighborhood, and we're pleasantly surprised to see wild deer every day!

United KingdomWhat’s not to like! An absolutely wonderful place to stay, so much surpassed our expectations. Beautifully decorated, well thought out communal areas, comfy rooms, wonderful staff. Super little complimentary quirks such as fresh cookies and tea 24/7, filtered water in rooms which you can swap in when empty, brandy in rooms for a night cap and a rabbit hole full of soft drinks for guests to help themselves to,

United StatesThe location is great. It is a very short walk to Cannery Row, although somewhat hilly. They offer very comprehensive advice for places to eat, as well as things to do locally. The breakfast was restaurant quality, and the hospitality hour refreshments were excellent. And they also had cookies all day. The brandy in the room was an unexpected touch.

United StatesI stayed for a conference since the conference hotel was booked and I’m so glad I did. My room had a cozy fireplace and a stunning view of the bay. The whole property is charming, as are the staff. Plenty of nooks to settle into in the public areas, too, though I didn’t have time for that. This is a lovely inn, and I’ve already rebooked for next year.

United StatesNothing, I loved it!
Rick, Suzanne, Dorothy and Ruth were all great. I have never had such a personal feeling experience at anywhere that I have stayed before. Rick and Suzanne knew my name and called me by it every day. Breakfast was excellent from the stuffed french toast to the Phantasmagoria to the wonderful Jabber Juice, everything was perfect. I did not join for the wine and hours dourves but was checked on every evening by Dorothy to see if I was going to join to make sure that there was still time. All in all a great stay and I am looking forward to coming back again in the near future.

Peaceful gardens and water fountain to just sip tea, read the local paper and relax as a family of deer makes good use of the pond and foliage. Start your day 8-9am, Pick a table for a Wonderfull breakfast, then out for your adventures. 5 min walk to Cannery row and most restaurants.
