Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. ItalyThere was an unbearable noise coming from the bathroom area — not sure if it was the AC or something else, but it was very loud. We only stayed one night, so we managed, but it was definitely unpleasant. The check-in process also wasn’t as smooth as what I’ve come to expect from Sonder. Since they’ve switched to Marriott, it took longer than usual to receive the access codes.
We loved the location! It's conveniently within walking distance of all the main city attractions and just a 10–15 minute walk from Jefferson Station, which has direct service to and from Philadelphia Airport. The neighborhood felt safe, and a Sonder employee was present when we arrived, which made the check-in process smoother. The room was well-equipped, and we appreciated the coffee pods — a nice touch!

Czech RepublicThere was a very loud noise coming from the air conditioners in the courtyard, which we could hear through the window. I believe the hotel is aware of this issue, as there was a sign in the room warning that the street might be noisy and providing earplugs. But trust me — even the earplugs didn’t help. If you're a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, I wouldn't recommend staying here.
The hotel is in a great location — LGBT+ friendly and close to the city center and all major landmarks. Check-in is very easy through the app, and you don't have to interact with any staff in person. If you arrive early, you can use lockers to store your luggage. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed, including a coffee machine, plenty of towels, Wi-Fi, amenities, and even earplugs. I also requested an extra blanket in advance, and it was already prepared in the room on the day of our arrival.

SwedenI hade the room high up in the corner and the windows didnt help at all for music. One of the evenings there was a party in the street which sounded so loud it was hard to sleep. They even hand out earplugs which is good but didnt help. Rest of the evenings it was better. Changing windows would really improve the room. Bath was a bit worn but still nice and with a large window.
It was a really nice and airy room with great high ceilings. Quite large bathroom for this kind of room. The location was good and also nice to see a different side of Philly.

BrazilThe check-in process is terrible. There are not enough lockers to the guests arriving before check-in time and not always the early check-in is available. In my case, I had to walk through the city, with my family and our luggage, looking for a storage place to accommodate our stuff before check-in time. As the hotel does not have an reception, they do need to provide more lockers in a more effective way of usage.
The room is very comfortable and spacious. Hotel is quiet and provides a white noise machine for those who need.

United StatesThe only thing I’d suggest is a better-equipped kitchenette either in the rooms or in the lounge. Even just having some paper plates, utensils, and basics on hand would be nice. It's not essential, but it would make a good setup even better.
My new home away from home in Philadelphia. The space had everything you need and nothing you don’t. I loved being able to check in the building early and relax in the lounge while waiting for my room to unlock digitally at 4:00 PM. You can also store your bags after checkout and come back for them later, or pay extra for a late checkout. I was totally happy with the mostly unmanned setup. They provided earplugs, but I didn’t find the room noisy at all. The location was perfect, within walking distance of restaurants and a small grocery store with all the essentials.

United StatesWe couldn't get back into the building after I checked out. I am glad I took a screenshot of our code because that disappeared from the app as soon as I check out. We needed to get back into the building because are luggage was stored in the lockers. I had to put the code in multiple times and contact the support staff on the app to be let back into the building.
No staff present and all we needed was a code to get into the main building and our room. The luggage storage lockers were a nice addition since we arrived before check-in time and we were also able to leave our bags in the lockers after we checked out since we had a later flight.
