Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWhile there were plenty of things to enjoy, a few aspects of our stay at The Grove Resort didn’t quite live up to the promise. Check-in was a bit rocky at first. It took longer than expected, and the process wasn’t clearly communicated, which made for a frustrating start. Once we got settled, things improved—but first impressions matter. We tried one of the resort’s restaurants, and unfortunately, the food didn’t meet our expectations. It felt overpriced for the quality, and we didn’t return for another meal. For a resort of this size, we hoped for better dining experiences. There were also some issues with the room itself. Guests are expected to wash their own towels during their stay, which wasn’t communicated beforehand—a surprising ask for a vacation setting. The windows were noticeably dirty, which obstructed the view from our 7th-floor room. And while the space was bright and airy, it was almost too bright in the mornings—don’t expect blackout curtains or a dark room if you’re hoping to sleep in. Tech-wise, the TV setup was disappointing. You can’t stream Netflix or Prime directly unless you bring a laptop and connect via HDMI. For a modern resort, that felt like a missed opportunity. Lastly, some common areas didn’t feel as clean or well-maintained as they should have been. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it did detract from the overall experience.
From the moment I arrived at The Grove Resort, I felt like I was stepping into a retreat designed for rest and fun. The lobby was inviting, and while check-in took a bit longer than expected, the staff eventually made the process smooth and welcoming. Our suite was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. Having a full kitchen was a huge plus—it gave us flexibility and comfort, especially for longer stays. The view from the 7th floor wasn’t jaw-dropping, but it was peaceful and added to the relaxed vibe of the room. The water park was easily the highlight of our stay. Between the lazy river and the slides, there was plenty to enjoy without ever leaving the resort. It’s clear they’ve designed the space with families in mind—everything felt safe, and fun, Although we didn’t find the location ideal for Disney access (the shuttle wasn’t as convenient as we’d hoped), the resort itself offered enough to make up for it. The atmosphere was calm and family-friendly, perfect for unwinding and spending quality time together. Overall, I’d recommend The Grove Resort to others looking for a spacious, activity-filled getaway that’s great for families and offers a lot of value—especially if you plan to spend most of your time on-site. Oh and check Steve down at Austin Pier for a great boat ride and experience

United StatesI think they should have more shutters running due to having a large facility. My parents waited to long to wear, and we had to drive them from The Grove to the Terrance.
I love how it accommodated the whole family and You don't have to drive anywhere else for the kids. Everything is in arm reach.

United StatesThe place is like a maze and it can be very confusing to get around. I kind of feel like the nickel and dime you once you’re there. Parking is $30 per night per car. They only provide you with one role of paper towels, one dish soap and one dishwasher detergent. If you need more you have to buy it at their store and everything in that store is very very overpriced. If you want fresh towels and or linens that is between $20-$90. I had one drink at the waterpark it was $31 without the tip.
The rooms are spacious. The pools and waterpark are a lot of fun. My kids love the flowrider and it’s not a bad price. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

United StatesI over estimated my willingness to do laundry everyday and take out trash on my vacation. We were on the 5th floor in c tower and driving up and down in the parking garage got old fast. We had to wash the towels pretty often. A regular hotel would do all of that for me. The app is a lagging too for checkout. I checking online and paid the deposit but then I went to the front desk to get the room keys I was charged again which put another $300 on hold. Now I could afford it and they did refund all after check out but it was inconvenient.
The suite and the bedrooms were great. Good size, comfy beds and very nice view.

United StatesThe food was terrible. There were not enough towels and bedding in the room; we had to request more. It took hours for the housekeeping staff to bring more bedding. There was nobody at the front desk at night. I expected a few coffee pods and sugar in the room, like every place always provides.
The apartment was spacious and clean.

United StatesSome things could be more updated and the store was a little pricey. Also being charged for garbage to be taken out and change in towels was a bit much but we washed our own towels and were able to get trash taken at end of stay
We loved all of the things for our family to do including pools and water park. The arcade was great on a rainy afternoon and so was the art room.

United StatesRooms are outdated, peeled and scraped furniture. Rooms, living room, kitchen had bad odor. No room clean out of towels, toilet paper and not replenished upon requested. Restaurant Valencia was dirty, had funcky dirty smell, food was not good. Hallways had bags of trash for two straight days. All of this makes a stay unpleasant unfortunately. Would not be a resort I would come back to.
