How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The only issue we had with the hotel was the TV and Wifi. At night, when we would try to watch something, the TV only allowed you to use certain streaming services and also wouldn't allow you to sign in to some of the ones available. On the one streaming service we did access (Hulu), sometimes the video would not load, buffer, or stop playing completely. When we would attempt to switch to a laptop, the Wifi was too slow to support streaming. However, this was not a very big deal to us because we didn't need, per se, to watch anything or use the internet, but would have made the stay literally perfect.
The hotel room was a great size and the classic Cape Cod cottage style was lovely. Very clean. The pool was perfect. Breakfast, while simple, was good and we had it every day of our stay. It is also right next to an ice cream shop which was very convenient and fun. We really enjoyed our stay. Also, driving to beaches nearby or on the coast or up to Provincetown was easy and not too long. Would recommend South Middle beach for a little beach picnic!

The bed is too soft - needs a firmer mattress. The room is charming, but the bathroom needs just a little freshening - larger or more shelves for ‘stuff’.
Great breakfast, multiple choices. The pool is lovely, grounds well maintained. The owner (Chris) was very nice and accommodating. Nice size fridge in the room, YouTube TV options and streaming were great.

Check in is contactless, We asked for a key & was given one right away. We are not up to date with codes & punching numbers.

Quite a few local restaurants were closed on a Monday evening, maybe we were out of season? Still lots of places to have lunch though, that were amazing The places we ate at were great and having a fridge in the room was great when we needed it. Love a room feast 😋
Fabulous hotel, lovely room and pool. Chris, the owner, was really friendly, helpful and on site all the time. Great breakfast selection, supermarket close by and lots to do. Recommend hiring bikes from Palm City Bikes - just up the road. Loads of great cycle paths to explore and very reasonably priced.

The breakfast is a bit light but ok.
Clean and friendly with an enthusiastic staff. Very nice place where a lot of love has been put in place for deco and details. Top pool which invites for s little swim end of the day!

I can't think of anything.
Perfect location. The owner was very friendly and attentive to the guests' needs. The room was large, bright, clean. Lots of hot water for the shower. The pool was large and well maintained. Lots of chairs, tables and umbrellas. Breakfast was good - continental.

Nice touch for breakfast but would like a few different options. Maybe english muffin or bagels. TV in room was a bit wonky and couldn’t use ipad and Tv on internet at same time as access was limited.
