What an incredible stay! Not a detail has been overlooked at the Capitol Inn! From the moment you enter, you feel welcome. Whether it’s the basket of fresh fruit in the kitchen counter, snacks in every common area, or fridges stocked with waters & such… it’s a wonderful home away from home.

The Inn's parking lot is well lit at night which made us feel very secure. But the draperies in our room (the Sarasota) are not light blocking so the room was pretty bright at night.

We travel pretty often to Tallahassee from the Orlando area to visit our son and his girlfriend. We've stayed in several of the chain motels and for this stay our usual places were booked or had higher rates (we were there the week before classes began as FSU). So as I looked further into other places to try I came across The Capitol Inn. We loved the common area's comfortable seating and atmosphere. It was a perfect meeting place for the four of us to catch up with each other before going out to our favorite restaurant. The location is great, close to everything. Although this is NOT a B&B, there were baskets of snacks, breakfast pastries, and the makings for coffee in the kitchen. I am an early riser so I really enjoyed being able to be up before everyone else (there was only one other couple staying in the inn) and having the ability to make a pot of coffee without disturbing anyone. I then lazed with a comfy chair as I enjoyed my coffee in the quiet living room.

Beyond control was the loud cars going by at night. Something that I just had to deal with.

I loved the room and location. Me and my daughter stayed here while visiting the state capitol. I loved that we could use the kitchen instead of going out to eat. The shower was also very nice.

The owner provided pastries for breakfast not true bed and breakfast. However the cleanliness the use of the facilities overdid the not having breakfast. In addition many places close by for coffee and eating

Weird system where you have to pay ahead and there are no staff on site so I almost canceled because I couldn't get in. Later did some fighting with electronic doors. But the place is so nice it was worth it

Booking set up to pay at property and it is contactless. No way to pay thru booking, was able to contact someone who sent me external link but it was uncomfortable not knowing if I could get in or not.

Nothing! The only recommendation I would make is a little fridge with some bottled water, possibly in the sitting area for guests to grab and take to their room. I sorta felt uncomfortable accessing the fridge in the kitchen for ice. (By the way, I am a FOODIE and that fridge was Killer:).

Location was nice and quiet. Ubers readily available to take to restaurants, campus, etc. Morgan was very attentive. The property was EXTEMELY nice and exceeded all expectation. (I was in the hotel industry over 25 years, just hanging up my heels a couple of years ago). The property does not advertise breakfast, but coffee and fresh homemade cinnamon rolls from a local bakery were in the kitchen area the following morning, along with fresh oranges and other grab and go Granola bars. A couple outside patio areas to enjoy.

It was spacious and comfortable, quiet with a state of art shared kitchen and lovely common areas. Nicely furnished outdoor patio, easy parking. Right across from a great park and within walking distance to many sites and restaurants. The staff was very quick to respond to all inquiries. We would absolutely choose the Capital Inn again!

The location was very convenient and across the street from a nice park with a shaded walking path. The room and bathroom were spacious and tastefully appointed. The bedding was so luxurious and comfortable, I had one of the best night's sleep I have had in a while. I will definitely try to stay there the next time I am in town.

More people don’t know about this place we had the whole building to ourselves, but if that sounds good for you, you may want to check them out

Compared to most hotels this place was clean and spotless. I love the common area, big open kitchen, but you also have your private room with everything you need. I came with my girlfriend and our child, which was perfect because they had a park right next door across the street, but more importantly, the host was very welcoming and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed and at the end of our station gave us a private tour of the building. The property is quiet it’s private you don’t have to deal with people coming in and out. This is my spot when I come to Tallahassee thank you so much for this day.

The one time in 10 years that I needed an iron, I couldn't find one! But I am confident that they will definitely see this and by the next day, there will be an iron in the rooms.

The owner/staff were amazing at communicating and responding to questions and issues promptly. I felt very safe traveling as a solo female. The room was amazing! Bed was so comfortable. 10/10 going to recommend friends and colleagues to stay here in the future. I look forward to when they have the chef in place!

There was no on site staff. We arrived at 2:45 and there was no flexibility because there was no staff to allow us to enter the room promptly. The room was on the second floor with no elevator. We believe we were one of only two or three other guests and there were at least 3 guest rooms on the first floor. We saw one maid who looked in on us at around 5:00 PM. She said she would be back at 6:00 AM and have coffee ready. That did not occur.

It was quiet.
