My stay at this vintage bed and breakfast was truly wonderful. The home is full of charm, history, and personal touches that make it feel incredibly special. The room was cozy and beautifully decorated, with antique furnishings and thoughtful details throughout. One of my favorite parts was the old record player in the living room, complete with a great collection of vinyl records to choose from,such a unique touch. Breakfast was amazing, delicious and lovingly prepared. The host was exceptional: warm, responsive, and even available late at night when I needed some help. Her kindness and attentiveness made me feel so cared for. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with personality and heart, I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Great charming place, a historical gem in itself. Breakfast is served freshly cooked by host. There is a cute gift shop with jewelry, pottery, and other things which you can choose and pay by cash. Bathrooms are spotless clean, beds are comfortable.

Rooms were a bit tight. Shared area in “suite” was tiny. I wouldn’t call this a suite, more like 2 adjacent bedrooms. We expected more space.

Brianna was really great and helpful, but not intrusive. Food was fantastic, although small servings.

We stayed in The Robin’s Nest - it was homely, clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. We liked the decor, and the laid back atmosphere of the guesthouse - an honesty box, interesting artwork, games, nice communal places to sit - the Adirondack chairs on the porch were lovely. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful; guests sat together and chatted. Montgomery is a delightful place - we enjoyed the hospitality at the Irish pub, just a short stroll away. Our stay was so relaxing - we only stayed for one night, on our tour of the Catskills. Next time, when we visit New York again, we hope to stay longer.

My sister and always wanted to experience a Bed and Breakfast and we are glad we chose The Borland. The house is filled with beautiful antique and well kept. We plan on returning in the fall .

Although it was very easy to do the self check-in, I was surprised that we never met the owner during the time that we stayed.

All correspondence was through email. I waited until 8:45 am thinking a breakfast was included but there was no one around in the morning for at least coffee. So I had to go find breakfast on my own.
